We don't have an ADR at Le Cellier...I just want some soup!

Can I order soup to go?

I think it all depends on who's working at the podium and how busy they are. Doesn't hurt to ask, though- the worst they can say is "no"

Yes, I've done it. We've done it a couple of trips. We ordered the soup and breadsticks to go. It was wonderful! We just sat on their stone wall outside and had a quick lunch. However, I have heard that if they're super busy, they won't do it. But it can't hurt to try. Good luck!

Don't they serve the soup at a stand during the food and wine fest?? I know they have in the past and you can get it no problem.

Too bad we're not going for food and wine this year!

I'll try around the beginning of lunch....wish me pixie dust!

it doesn't hurt to ask.But I will tell you the few times I have tried it I have been shot down. They told me they aren't prepared for takeout.

I called Maya Grill to see if I can get Fried Cheese cake to go and I was told no. :(

I've only ever read reports of people being told no. One of the pp is the only person I have ever heard say they were successful at getting anything to go. Doesn't hurt to try but I wouldn't get my hopes up too high. It will be a nice surprise if they allow it.

i fell in love witht he pretzel sticks in april while there and one day for snack i said to my hubby lets go get some pretzel sticks from lecellier and they sold them to us. we walked around the park while having the best pretzels in the world.

If it's the cheddar cheese soup you're after, I can give you the recipe to make at home.

I did this! Maybe 2 years ago? We got soup and breadsticks to go and sat outside with the snack. It was AWESOME!

This was before I was Gluten-Free (sigh). No more Cheese Soup and Breadsticks for me...

With the success of this restaurant, and the struggle many of us have to get ADR's, I really think they should open up a take out window. Maybe somewhere up at the "top" part of the pavillion. Limited menu of soup, breadsticks, etc and set up a few tables outside.

I've done beer to go from Cellier (no TIW discount though).

I did this one evening for dinner - I couldn't get an ADR so I walked up and asked to buy an order of the pretzel sticks and no problem :thumbsup2

It really depends on how busy, I was not able to get it to go:rolleyes1

We've tried twice and was denied both times. They said the kitchen was too busy and wasn't set up for take out. All we wanted was a bowl of cheese soup, not a whole meal.

Perhaps if you come up with your own containers they'll give it to you since sometimes they "aren't set up for it" I can't imagine they don't have a ladle to scoop the soup into the bowl and hands to put the bread into a box...
