Le Cellier "tables not released"

I am the girl who gets up at 6am on her 180 day mark to made all my ADR's - and first on my list is Le Cellier. So imagine my surprise when Le Cellier showed no availability...hmm. So then I started my obsessive calling at all times to try and snag it, and on my 3rd attempt the CM revealed that "the tables for Le Cellier had not been released yet" - has anyone heard of this before? In the past I have always been able to snag a ressie (and thanks to the new cxl policy, even on the flight down last trip!) - I asked when they would be released and her reply was "we never know - it can be anytime now" - huh? :confused3

That is not unheard of.

Also, at Epcot, they will be holding back lots of tables for Candlelight Processional package bookings if it's at that time of year.

It's very common for late Nov/Dec Epcot restaurants.

The biggest thing holding back tables is likely the Candlelight Processional packages. They tend to block out far more than they need for them until they are released. Keep trying, especially when CP packages are released, and there should eventually be availability (note: normal ADRs will also be released at the same time CP packages are, they don't use ALL the tables blocked out for CP, but better to overestimate and open some up, than underestimate and overbook/cancel regulars)

as Vicki mentions above me, it's also not all that unheard of in other locations.

When I booked for LeCelier at the end of Sept, early Oct, they were not available during lunch at the 180 day mark. It took an extra few weeks before they were posted. That isn't uncommon recently.

If you're going in December and trying for a dinner, then due to CP, the whole place will be blocked as unavailable for booking until the speakers for the CP packages have been announced so that everybody has an opportunity to book during this very popular event during a busy season.

According to the CMs on the dine line, all of the more popular restaurants for CP will open in July. This is to accurately set inventory and ensure that people are not trying to plan a regular table and convert to CP - because it doesnt work that way.

LeCellier is a little different when it comes to the CP time-frame, compared to other restaurants that participate in the CP program. LUNCH is not an option for part of the package, only dinner...maybe this has something to do with it?

Last year - LeCellier only offered for Lunch as part of the CP. Dinner wasn't offered - probably since they are charging 2TS for the package and Le Cellier is already 2 TS at dinner.

We also couldn't book a lunch ADR at Rose & Crown for late Nov./early Dec. I was told that these restaurants won't open up until Candlelight Processional information is released.

The exact words the CM used this 4am (west coast time) was that neither Le Cellier or Coral Reef were 'loaded in the system yet' and thus could not be booked @ all. She could not tell me when they would be 'loaded' and thus bookable. These were the 2 I wanted and couldn't get.

Ahhh, forgot about CP! Last year they released the CP dates and restaurants on July 26 so I will assume it's the same for this year. Hoping to score a Le cellier lunch then for the CP package - is "lunch" still at 3, 4pm?

Oops, I had it flipped around!! :upsidedow

Last year Le Cellier was only available for the first performance and the reservations were between 1:45 - 2:45.

You would think, with only an hour of offering, they could open up at least the dinner schedule. Unless they might be doing both lunch AND dinner at LC this year for CP. Ugh. It's the ONLY ADR I've still got pending. Bah. LOL

I have a question about the CP schedule and ADRs...

From my nightly research, it seems like at Midnight they open up more park hour schedules and ADR time frames. And of course the ADR's open 6am daily.

My question is...is it safe to assume that the CP hours will come out ahead of time before Le Cellier reservations become available? Meaning, when Le Cellier opens it's December reservations, will that happen at 6am or can they open at anytime during the day? My thought was the day they open the CP schedule, that following morning Le Cellier will start reservations at 6am.

Does that sound possible?

I think the issue with LeCellier is now they are two-credit meals, and they would "lose money" offering a dinner CP plan...which I don't know why they can't do, they can always make them their own "tier".

I'm willing to bet the LeCellier reservations will open for Dec well before the CP schedule is released. Remember though, you can't make the CP reservations, until THEY open up! You can't make a LeCellier reservation lets say, if LC opened up tomorrow, and then switch it to a CP reservation. You HAVE to wait until they open for CP.

Thanks for the reply. I actually just want to eat at LC.
No plans for the CP, although I would love to see Whoopi read.

Oh, I wouldn't worry about it then, I'm sure the reservations will open up any day now. And you don't have to have CP dinner reservations to see Whoopi! :goodvibes We went last year, and quite frankly, although I really enjoyed it, it was soooooooooo long!!!

BTW, Whoopi isn't listed as a narrator this year. I think she became persona non grata when she said some negative things about WDW on The View after her last CP performance.
