For us not at lunch, but then I don't think anyplace is worth 2 TS at lunch and here is why: I like to relax at TS meals. We usually book one of the last reservations so we can sit and chat before heading back to the hotel and bed. When we have TS lunches I feel rushed as if I have to hurry back to the parks.
However, if you are asking if I think the food is worth 2 the answer is yes.
However, I vehemently, disagree with most of the board on the merits of the filet, cheddar soup and pretzel bread (good, but not rave worthy)

I'd say no....we have TiW and so we eat there like every other trip. It's expensive. delicious, but I would not spend 2TS on it for lunch!

Since its the same menu for lunch and dinner now I don't see why it wouldn't be worth it for lunch and it would be for dinner. If you are willing to eat a heavy lunch and lighter dinner then go for it!

Agree with this. In the process of going to a single day menu, they weeded out some of the "cheaper" lunch menu items. Unfortunately, one of the casualties was the fairly popular House Burger. :(

A different quesiton one could ask then would be Is Le Cellier worth using 2 TS credits from your Dining Plan or is it better to pay out of pocket? I usually make a spreadsheet for dining and do those nutty price calculations to figure out how to use our dining credits among the restaurants I have ADRs for. And usually, it comes out that I come out ahead if I pay Le Cellier out of pocket and save those dining credits for two separate meals.

Is the food itself worthy of the price? I think so but others have disagreed.

We really didn't like Le Cellier. We ate there for dinner and didn't feel it was worth 2 credits.. in fact, if it were still 1 credit for lunch I wouldn't eat here.

I didn't find it overly cramped like others have said, but the food was barely mediocre. I had high excpectations for the cheddar soup and was surprised at how bland it was. I cannot even remember what I had for dinner because it wasn't memorable. The service was fine, nothing special. I would save the extra credit for a better meal somewhere else.

Thank you! I was actually thinking of doing just that!!! :cool1:

I'm not trying to be snarky, but how does one reach the decision that a meal is worth one dining credit, but not two? I wish the discussion would instead involve how good the actual food is. I've mentioned in previous posts that basically Le Cellier could do no wrong in almost all reviews (yes, there were some exceptions), until it went to 2 credits. The reviews then for the most part, turned negative. So much so that it couldn't be a coincidence. The food is good or it isn't.
And the single menu? Yes, blame the dining plan for that..

Not really a fair question IMHO. No restaurant is worth 2 credits for lunch. In our family lunch is a lighter meal. If you fill up too much you just want to nap. Touring a park would be out of the question.

The food is very good, IMO...it's a lot of food, though...that's why for lunch, it seems like a lot. The sides are big portions, our whole family (of 4) shares a few sides with our steaks.

Good food is still only worth what it's worth. I may have an absolute favorite fast-food restaurant...but I would not pay sit-down prices for it. I may have a favorite casual sit-down, but would not pay Ruth's Chris or Melting Pot prices for it.

That is what has happened to Le Cellier. They have labeled themselves a signature and priced themselves accordingly, but in terms of food and atmosphere, most do not believe they really match the quality of the other signatures. They *are* a half-step above most other non-signature places, which is what made them so popular for dining plan guests, but now with 2TS/signature OOP pricing, their popularity has taken a dive. To me, that's perfectly understandable. I still love them, but I absolutely see where others no longer find it worth the cost to go there.

This might be the most agreement I have ever seen on this board. :)

I also don't think it is worth the $$$ or credits for dinner. Overpriced, overhyped and under performing.
