I have a 6:30pm dinner ADR for Le Cellier.... I know I should be jumping for joy I have this ADR.... I thought I should keep this ADR so I can unravel the mystique of this place... but it just seems like any old steak place.... Am I wrong? I think I would get the cheese soup and 1 of the steaks.

And the restaurants I'm thinking about going to instead are quite easy to get an ADR...

Restaurant Marrakesh - went here for lunch in 2009 and just loved this place! The food, service, music, belly dancing... everything was great!

Flying Fish Cafe - never been here but the menu is very appealing! We are already going to Flying Fish Cafe another night... we could go twice the menu sounds so good. (or change our other night at FFish to something else).

San Angel Inn - already have a lunch ADR but could pick a different place for lunch and do dinner instead. Never been here but looks like a fun place to dine with the decor and music.

We already have these ADRs at other times - Coral Reef, Chefs de France, Biergarten, Garden Grill.

I love LeCellier, but I love steak. I get it practically anywhere we go....so I may be biased.

I say if the menu appeals to you go because of that. Don't go somewhere because of "hype". You will surely be disappointed if you do.

We enjoyed Le Cellier very much, but will be skipping it this time just to try something different. You on the other hand have never tried it, I think you should keep your ADR as it is so hard to get.

We will be going to all you have listed in a month except Flying Fish. We will be going to Le Cellier again and wouldn't give it up.

We enjoyed Le Cellier for the first time a few weeks ago. It was good, but our family thought the steaks at Turf Bar and Grill at Saratoga Springs were better.

Just another steak place to me. A total product of the dining plan. Offer people steak for one credit, and they rush the doors like the antelopes in the stampede scene in "The Lion King." Watch how quickly things will change when Le Cellier attains signature status.

Remember when Coral Reef cost two credits? Nobody went. For half the price, that fish tank looks so much more appealing.

Epcot and the Epcot area offers some of Disney's best restaurants. Take advantage!

Oh, and don't worry. Someone will happily snatch your Le Cellier reservation.

I would NOT give up Le Cellier.

We were in a similar situation during our last trip. After hearing everybody rave about Le Celliar we tried and tried to get ressies and finally did! After thinking about it for a while we decided that we would rather somewhere different than a "steak place". We decided to cancel our ressie and found plenty of people that wanted it! It is hard to avoid getting wrapped up in the hype but do what you want and enjoy!!:thumbsup2

DW and I went there four years ago and while it was good, it wasn't great. We also went to Flying Fish and to this day it is one of the top five meals we have ever eaten anywhere for both of us. We just came back from a 9 night stay and had an excellent meal at Marrakesh. Also ate at Coral Reef and while the food was good, the service was very, very poor (worst I've ever had a Disney) with the restaurant on 2/3 full. Also don't overlook Kouzinna, which is next to the Flying Fish and only 1 credit. We had a very good meal there (loved the cinnamon-stewed chicken). All that being said, if you don't eat at Le Cellier, especially while it is only 1 credit, you will always wonder if it really is as good as some people think it is.

Amen - we think the Turf Bar and Grill is superb and still not on everyone's radar.Oops- maybe I should't post this!

If your ADR is for a party of 4 on October 7th, then you should definitely try a new restaurant, because I can't get in! ;) Seriously, Le Cellier is my absolute favorite restaurant in Epcot. Other than the fact that is is pretty crowded (like Les Chefs de France, Coral Reef, and just about any other) I like the atmosphere. It's cool and relaxing after a hot, busy day in the park. I can cook a delish filet, but I love their mushroom filet! I am still trying everyday to get an ADR for my upcoming trip.

Enjoy!

Flying Fish is a much better restaurant. (This is only my opinion). If you are on the dining plan, it costs 2 credits, though.

we love FF as well, but I dont think u can compare it to Le Cellier (which we also love)
they are 2 very different restaurants!

Eat at both!!

I love seafood fresh and well prepared. Flying Fish has so many things on the menu that sound good... I can't wait to go!

Part of my problem is I have some favorite restaurants that I'd love to go again... and that conflicts with my desire to try new places.... I guess I'll just have to plan more Disney trips.... and start working a 2nd job to pay for it!

If you have a good steak place at home, use Epcot as an opportunity to try something different.Marrakesh is a good start.

Happy eating!

LeCellier - I not all that thrilled with the steak, but I did enjoy the risotto. On the DDP it’s not so bad, but I would not pay for it OOP.

Morocco – I’ve enjoyed the meals there every time and it may be something you don’t normally get at home.

Flying fish – It is good, but if I was paying OOP I would go to Blue Zoo over it any time. On the DDP it is well worth the 2TS.

.

Le Cellier is really good. Its not out of this world fantastic, but definitely worth going at least once. Its one of the better places at Epcot and Ive been everywhere except UK and Germany (and Im doing both this next trip in Oct.)
