Le Cellier ressie question

We are going to WDW in May with my father and his new wife. We are driving from Ohio and I'm not sure if he will make it at the same time as me, my DH and my 2 DD's. I have a ressie our first day for a Le Cellier lunch for 4, but if he DOES make it can I check in for 6? I have been trying to get a ressie for 2 around the same time but I haven't been able to find anything. I don't want to be out of a reservation at Le Cellier because Le Cellier won't seat 6 if the reservation was for 4. Thanks!

Le Cellier is such a popular restaurant, there is a good possibility that they will not seat a party of 6 for a party of 4 ADR. I would call the Disney Dinning # and ask if you can change to 6. Otherwise, I would suggest meeting you Dad after lunch.

I agree that there's definitely a chance the restaurant turns you away, but there's no harm in trying. Obviously, the best solution would be to see if you can make a new reservation for six people, but I recognize that may difficult at this late stage. I have checked into restaurants with a different-sized party than indicated on the reservation plenty of times and have never faced a problem. Granted, Le Cellier is extraordinarily popular, so it may not be so easy.

If you're committed to dining with your father, I suggest telling the Cast Member at the podium that you want to add two diners to your reservation and are willing to wait as long as possible to be accommodated. I'm not sure what will happen, but it wouldn't shock me if they are able to help you out!

Good luck!

I agree there is nothing wrong with trying. But make sure the extra 2 have either another TS lined up or are ok with CS for dinner.
Because the chances of getting them in will be next to impossible. LC is TINY, it isn't very big inside and the tables are on top of one another. So as a party of 4, you will be sat at a 4 top, no room to put an extra 2 chairs. Let alone if the place is booked, the fire codes prevent extra people...Disney is strict on this policy.

Good luck!!
