:cool1: :cool1: Got dinner reservations for Le Cellier for our September trip. We tried to get them when we went last year, but couldn't get them.

Can't wait!

Good for you! We got a lunch reservation for September as well. Excited here as well.:cool1:

Trying to make ADR's for September as well. Which is better lunch or dinner since dinner now takes two dining credits?

Karen :confused3

I am wondering this too...is the size of the mushroom filet that different to justify cost?

Yay! Good for you! Le Cellier is one of our favorites! :goodvibes
We are actually trying it for dinner this time as we usually do lunch. Excited!

We have only ever done dinner, so I can't say about lunch. Also we don't use the dining plan.

The first time we had dinner at Le Cellier was with a Candlelight Processional Package. We had never tried it prior to that, and kind of picked it because it had something that I would eat. (:rolleyes1) We really enjoyed the meal and decided we would have to try it again.

Then we were able to get reservations on one other trip. Since my DH & I have been going by ourselves, we haven't been able to get in at all. I tried for ADR's just on a whim and took what we could get. ;)

We are going to WDW September 6th through the 11th and our dinner at Le Cellier is on Saturday the 8th. :thumbsup2 :woohoo:

We love, love, love LeCellier! In fact, my H wishes we could go at least twice each trip. He's only half kidding. Last year we had to cut our dinner very short as my niece was very sick, so they boxed up our food and we took it back to the room before visiting the ER. It certainly did not taste quite the same, but good nonetheless. Enjoy!

Yes, I suspect that since WDW has implemented their new cancel policy along with not being able to book simultaneous reservations, ADR's are suddenly easier to book. Glad to hear that folks that really want the reservations are able to get them! Enjoy your steak dinner.

Congrats on getting the ressie. We've done lunch and dinner and we much prefer to do the lunch. The pretzel breadsticks are amazing. Don't forget to try the cheddar cheese soup. We love the food at Le Cellier, but love the atmosphere even more. It's part of our "Must Do's" during each trip. Only 43 more days until our Le Cellier ADR.:thumbsup2

I'm happy about the new cancelation policy as this allows us to get the reservations we need without someone hogging up the reservations with their inability to decide where they want to dine on any given date.

Now lets see who will be the first to post the about the food quality at Le Cellier.:stir::rolleyes1

Enjoy your meal, it really is a nice place with excellent food and we have always had friendly service.

You say you much prefer lunch, I'm Curious why?
I booked a dinner reservation for our trip in September, and this will be our FIRST time at Le Cellier, but if lunch is really good as well, I would definitely love to switch to a Lunch reservation and not have to use up 2 of our table credits!

What's everyone's thoughts? Is it worth it to use the 2 credits for dinner, or is Lunch just as good????? :confused3

Thanks for the help!!!
:goodvibes

I just booked a surprise reservation for my boyfriend and I at Le Cellier for Sept 12th and I'm so happy I got it! I've never been there before but I've heard lots of good things about it. Cant wait!

We're going on Oct 1st, EPCOT's 30th, for lunch. Very excited. But we're regulars there so it's more like going home then going back. Since I started making their soup at home, it's become our "I miss Disney" security blanket. LoL!

I've done both lunch and dinner and I prefer lunch as well. While good, two dining credits is pretty steep and I don't feel there is enough different about going later to justify the extra dining plan ding when you can get it for just one credit at lunch. Just my opinion though.

We were just there last week for lunch! If the portion sizes for dinner are bigger, I would prefer lunch, too, because I was SO STUFFED after one pretzel breadstick and my mushroom filet. It was AMAZING-- easily the best thing I ever ate at Disney. My husband had the NY Strip and loved it as well, and we are used to eating at fancy steak places.

I prefer lunch, it was more than enough food for me. I don't think I would use 2 TS credits on dinner, though.

We have had both lunch and dinner at Le Cellier (but the last time we had dinner there it was still just one credit). I really enjoyed dinner there, but I prefer lunch. I feel that the portions are more than ample at lunch time - in fact, I don't remember the dinner filet being bigger than the filet I've had at lunch. I like the soup and pretzel bread, but the filet is my favorite (I sub the cream cheese mashed potatoes in place of the risotto). I also enjoy getting a strawberry smoothie as my beverage instead of a coke on the dining plan. My DD and DS like the steak that's available on the kids menu. I highly recommend trying lunch there. We were lucky enough to get a lunch reservation there again this fall - it's one of the meals I'm most looking forward to.

My husband and I tried Le Cellier for the first time last year and it became one of my favorite resturants. We are looking to go agian this year in October. I have a question. We both really love the cheese soup and want to go for lunch. If you only order a bowl of soup do you still get the pretzel bread? We are looking forward to going back. Only 168 more days, but who is counting?!:goodvibes

Love Le Cellier here also. We have our ADR for October and I think it may be easier to get in now cause the Value resorts only offer the QSDP that is alot less people not booking TS every day.
Doing dinner this year OOP, last year did the lunch and in past year have done one or the other, Le Cellier is our only must do every trip restaurant.
:cool1::hippie:

Such great reviews of Le Cellier. I can not wait to try this place. ADR on 2nd day for lunch.:dance3:
