My family and I are going to WDW in 9/2011 and have not heard from the concierge about reservation requests- which is completely normal and fine with us.

My question is has anyone ever sent in dining requests and had the concierge planners get a reservation for those "impossible" places to dine? Especially six months out?

I will definitely be trying on the 180 day mark as early as 8am, but am just curious as to everyone else's experiences.

Thanks everyone!!

since Le Cellier becomes "signature" for dinner as of March 1, 2011, I think you'll find the reservations for dinner there are not difficult to get anymore and you won't need a concierge to get you a special reservation at Le Cellier. Our experience with getting signature dining reservations is that you can often get a reservation the same day, while you're at Disney World. The exception would be CRT (the castle books up) and Calif. Grill for fireworks time. I have, however, been able to book the castle for dinner twice at less than 180 days out...once at just 2 months out. On our recent trips in Sept, Nov, Jan and Feb we had reservations at 4 different signature restaurants...I booked those places no more than 6 weeks in advance and changed all 4 of them within the week of the trips. Two I changed within 24 hours of our ADR (one I cancelled & booked a different signature restaurant for the same night, same time.)

Anyway, people have been reporting lots of availability even in the next month or two for Le Cellier so it's not booking up for dinner as the 2 credit version.

Lunch will still be 1 credit, but the expectation is the menu for lunch may very well get reduced to "lunch" foods like sandwiches, soups, salads, etc.

We will know for sure in a week or so once the change happens surely people will be posting the new menus.
