Hey Folks!

Still having a great time planning my June trip! I've run into a problem though. We are spending WAY too much money on food! Here's my Le Cellier question:

I've heard soooo many good things about this place, I just HAVE to try it, so we are going to do it for Lunch I think. This "Grilled Steak Burger"... are we talked chopped steak? As in, VERY similar to hamburger? I don't think $10 for a hamburger and fries is a good bang for my buck. Little help please! Also, would this be able to sustain us for the day? We'd prolly get some crepes around Illuminations time, but other than that.....

EDIT: Now that I take a closer look, there is Prime Rib and Fries for dinner on the Children's Menu for $6.50! Would they allow 3 adults to walk in there, order some Cheese soup, and then ALL order off the childrens menu??? Also, if they would, how big are the portions! I just really need to cut costs.

Thanks!
Jeff

The steak burger is a big hamburger (probably ground sirloin) My son loves this burger but it would not hold him for the whole day unless you mean a very late lunch? I have ordered off the childrens menu at LeCellier before. I would really doubt that all of you ordering off the childrens menu would be a problem. Maybe some experts can offer more wisdom on this subject....

I don't know about the steak burger, but...

Our family ate lunch at Le Cellier in January. DH, DS (15), and I each had the cheese soup, breadsticks, and Caesar salad. It was fairly inexpensive (by WDW standards, anyway ;) ), and we all enjoyed it and walked away full. Our 4 younger children (11,9,3,and 21 months) had pasta from the children's menu. The servings were fairly large.

Hope this helps-

DH and I like to each get our own cheese soup and share an entree at Le Cellier. We find that it's more than enough food for the two of us. Since you have 3 adults, you may prefer instead to just order 2 appetizers or 1 appetizer and 1 entree with your soup.

We love Le Cellier and usually eat there our first day at WDW. The burgers are delicious. We also like the small steak with the grilled portobello mushroom and cheese. The Prince Edward Island Mussels are to DIE for.

We ate there for the first time this past April. Loved it. However, I could have easily just had the bowl of cheese soup and breadsticks and been satisfied. It was very filling. I didn't need the hamburger and was not able to finish it. This coming trip, my plan is just to go in and have the cheese soup (yummy) and those unbelievable breadsticks. That is plenty!
