I'm trying to convince my boyfriend to try Le Cellier when we go in December. I'm a big steak person, but he really isn't. Will he be able to find something else there?

Yes, my husband had the salmon and loved it. There is a nice selection which you can check out by clicking the Dining Link for the Dis above and then finding Le Cellier's menu. Most people love this restaurant. If you go, you have to try the cheddar cheese soup!

Our family went and we loved it. The pretzel bread was great as were the desserts. Lots of choices for everyone. Definitely check out the menu. I was intimidated by the sauces as I'm not a very "fancy" eater, but it was one of my top 2 favorite resteraunts of our entire stay (along with whispering canyons family skillet!).

I was dealing with this same problem yesterday. We already have an ADR for Le Cellier for our November trip. But I was worried that my parents wouldnt like the selection. I was looking at switching it for a ADR at Teppan Ido. When I called Dining, the CM told me that Le Cellier is a very popular restaurant, that it was really hard to get in, and if I have an ADR for it, I should keep it, especially if its for Teppan Ido. So that convienced me. She assured me that my folks would find something on their menu they would enjoy. Happy planning! :goodvibes:

The cheese soup, the salads, the pretzel bread, and the desserts are wonderful. 3 of our group got the mushroom filet (which is outstanding) and the 4th is very much a fish-person so had the salmon, and loved it.

Keep Le Cellier...there's a very good reason why it books solid!

I am probably the only person that didn't like the cheddar cheese soup. :confused3 I found it to be too salty and I use salt. I also found it to be very thin. I thought it was going to be a thick soup. Maybe I just had a bad batch. I would have liked to try it again, but now that appies are not included in DDP, I will not get the chance to. :(

There are plenty of good things on the menu. He can take it. You'll love the filet, I think.

Thank you all so much! I think I just may be able to convince him :) Now, if only we get it!

Hi, I'd like to piggyback on this thread instead of starting a new thread and cluttering the board. I am planning to try Le Cellier for the first time for dinner during our December trip. I have two kids (a 4 y.o. and 1 y.o.) who like their routines so I'd like to eat no later than 7 pm Eastern Time (since we'll be following Central Time). I try to make my ADR times to take into account my experiences re wait time (before seating) and typical service time. Could you folks with experience with dinner at Le Cellier during the prime dinner hours tell me what was your wait time (from check in to seating) and about how long before 1st course was served (which takes into account how promptly your server came to take your order)? Or, to save time, maybe just give me your opinion as to whether a 6:30 pm ADR time would ensure we receive our 1st course by around 7 pm? I was offered a choice of 6:20 pm, 6:30 pm and 6:40 pm ADR times.

Thanks in advance!

I thought it was the most disgusting thing ever next to the infamous strawberry soup from 1900 Park Fare :confused3 :scared1: Blech on both! :rotfl: It's not just you!

We usually try to get an ADR close to opening time for dinner at any WDW restaurant. Last August we had a 5pm for LeCellier and were seated immediately.... our first course was brought out after the breadsticks w/in 15 min. and then the main course about 40 min. after we were seated. We were too full for dessert but I know we were out of there by 6:15? I do know that when we were leaving, the area around the hostess podium was absolutely packed so I don't know what the wait time was @ 6:15?

I rarely eat red-meat and I don't like steak... I did LOVE the free-range chicken breast :thumbsup2

My son could eat salmon for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I think he had it every day we were at WDW. He said that the Le Cellier salmon was the best he has ever had. :fish:
