Not sure what to do here! We leave in 2 weeks and I keep tweaking (should just leave well enough alone :rolleyes1). I just snagged a lunch ADR to Le Cellier. I debated and debated and cancelled one early in planning and was never able to get it back. Now I don't know where to fit it in :confused3 or if I should just cancel and forget it. It may be one of those over-hyped ones and I'd love some input. Please no comments on we have too many ADRs or it's too much food etc, we are two adults traveling and happy with our three meals a day. I've done it before so I know what I'm getting myself into...tons of yummy food. Staying at Pop, on DxDPP, and driving everywhere unless hopping between Epcot and MK.

Our plans are this.

4/28: arrival day. Dinner at 'Ohana @ 4:30. Then MK. Dessert Party @ 9

4/29: Epcot. Akurshus @ 9:30, Chefs @ 2:30, Teppan Edo at 7:30.

4/30: IOA. Kona at 7:30, Then IOA. Yachtsman at 8:30 PM

5/1: MK/Epcot. Crystal Palace @ 8:10, Via Napoli @ 2, The Plaza @ 7

5/2: DHS. 1900 Park Fare at 8:30, Mama Melrose or Sci Fi @ 2, Captains Grille @ 8:30

5/3: AK Tusker House @ 8:30, Yak and Yeti @ 1, Wolfgang Puck Cafe @ 7

5/4: leaving day. Ohana's @ 9:30. Then to MK until 3 or 4. Tonys @ 1:30

My Le Cellier ressie is for 2:30 on 4/29. If I include Le Cellier, my plan is to move Chefs to 5/1 and then get rid of Via Napoli. I also thought of bumping Via Napoli to 5/4 and getting rid of Tonys. However, I really want to spend the last of our time in MK. Grab a dole whip, see the 3:00 parade and leave. If I do a lunch in Epcot our last day, then either we'd have to eat earlier when not hungry or at the end and then no dole whip and 3:00 parade. :confused3

Any advice? Which is better Via Napoli or Le Cellier. I know, I know two totally different types of food. I'd be getting the mushroom filet and cheddar soup at Le Cellier. Probably the pizza at Via Napoli. We've also never done either so really wouldn't know what we're missing I suppose.

We ate at both our last trip, and for us Le Cellier is definitely a must do. Via Napoli was fine, but we just loved Le Cellier. We got the filet mignon which was recommended to us by a CM. I thought it was better than the Yachtsman Steakhouse. JMHO. :thumbsup2

I ate at both Via Napoli and Le Cellier on my last trip a month ago. I personally would go to Le Cellier for lunch. Via Napoli was really good, absolutely no complaints, but it was pizza, etc. I have had plenty of very good pizza meals elsewhere. I had never eaten either before this trip and if I had to choose between them, I would rather dine at Le Cellier. There were many things on that menu I would want to try. Good luck! (and I am jealous of all your yummy food!)

Me too. Le Cellier is cheaper and less pretentious than Yachtsman, and their steaks are better! The rest of their food too, actually, but especially the steaks.

OP, I haven't been back to WDW since Via Napoli opened, but I haven't heard of anybody on these boards who loves it the way many love Le Cel.

I wouldn't skip mid day parks for just lunch so I wouldn't move Via Napoli. Even hopping from MK to Epcot will take you an hour. It's not a good use of your time. Especially if you are hopping back to that park. 2 hours in transpo and at least an hour to eat means that meal takes a minimum of 3 hours! Not worth it for any meal!

Le Cellier for sure. We've eaten at both and hands down my choice would be Le Cellier. Have fun. You have some great restaurants chosen!

I have eaten at both and they are really good. Le Cellier has very good steaks and breadsticks. Via Napoli has very good pizza and salad. If I had to pick one I would go with Le Cellier. Good luck picking one and enjoy!

Keep your Le Cellier, but, you are actually choosing between Chefs and Via Napoli. I would strongly suggest for you not to cancel Via Napoli for Chefs, while Via Napoli is just pizza and pasta, it's really good pizza and pasta, compared to Chefs mediocre "french" cuisine.

:)

Thanks but Chefs is a must do go for me. I do not find it mediocre at all.

I enjoyed Via Napoli during my first few visits, when I tried some of the more exciting pizzas and desserts. But now that they've cut down their menu to more standard offerings, I don't think it's worth the trip just for margherita or pepperoni pizza and zeppole.

Another vote here for Le Cellier. I have never been to Via Napoli but I can't imagine a trip without Le Cellier for my family. :goodvibes

Thanks! We'd probably get the pepperoni pizza too as we are eating pasta two or three other nights. I think I will go with Le Cellier and try the mushroom filet.

I am in the minority that thinks Le Cellier stinks. Its so overrated. Cheese soup was blah. I've had better soup at my local subway shop. The steak i had was fatty and tasteless. So disappointing. My vote would be for Via Napoli.

we love it too :) glad someone else feels the same way!!

we've had 2 very rough experiences at le cellier. i know many love it... but not so much for us. we're looking forward to trying via napoli in a few weeks!

Haven't been to LeCellier in a few years, but wasn't impressed. I am thinking about trying it again, since everyone raves about it, maybe we just caught it on a bad day.

I loved Via Napoli, but it is comparing a more casual meal to a fancier meal. I am with you though, Chefs is a must do! One of our favs!

Have fun!

We are spending three days in MK and only one in Epcot so we are hopping over to Epcot for lunch and then a few hours to finish up what we didn't get done before. We are hopping back over to MK that night for dinner and the parade. MK is also open until 2 AM that night so we will stay after the parade until 2 AM.

personally, i do not like le cellier. it's too cramped and the food we had was ok. i haven't really bothered to try to get a reservation back there since we went in 2007.

i enjoyed via napoli when we went a few weeks ago. i had the chicken parm and thought it was very good. the zeppole was also so yummy. i would like to try it again for the pizza. only thing with via napoli was that the service was kind of slow, but i hate eating fast and the server was so nice. don't go there if you have a schedule to keep. it definitely took us over an hour and a half to eat and pay the bill.

For the record, I wasn't impressed by Le Cellier at all until we tried it again last month. We had 3 meals there within the span of a week; all of our meals were far improved from our past memories of Le Cellier. Most restaurants have gotten worse over time IMO, but Le Cellier's dinner upgrade definitely had a positive effect on the food.

I love Tony's so personally wouldn't get rid of that. You currently have 3 italian restaurants and 2 steakhouses. I would probably do Tony's and Mama Melrose's, and Yachtsman's and Le Cellier. I would probably get a fillet at Le Cellier, and maybe a different dish at Yachtsman (or vice versa) to keep everything different.
