I have reservations for le cellier at 2:40. we have never eaten there and that was the only available time i could get now i am thinking about trying teppan edo instead. We like our local japanesse steakhouse and I am assuming this one is pretty much the same. is le cellier a MUST try??
Thanks

We really enjoy Le Cellier but not enought to eat there at 2:40. Way too late for lunch, way too early for dinner. We have never eaten at Teppan Edo, but others seem to like it. I would also recommend Chefs de France.

What about something else? Le Cellier is WAY over rated and Teppan Edo would be very similar to other Japanese steakhouses. What about Biergarten or Marrakesh or Nine Dragons. I have had GREAT meals at all 3 and they are more interesting than Le Cellier.

thanks :) I will check out the menus to some other places. 2:40 is not a great time but I had heard all the hoop la about it and didn't want to miss it but i started looking at the menu and not a ton of choices. Thanks again :)

We have not eaten at either of the restaurants.....yet. We have a lunch ADR for Le Cellier and a Dinner ADR for Teppan Edo. My DH has always wanted to try Teppan Edo, and I have always wanted to try out Le Cellier. Tough call, does your schedule allow for you to try out both restaurants? Good luck deciding.

Le Cellier is good, but it's not somewhere that we were so wowed by that we go every year. As far as Teppan Edo, we love it and go every time. There's a chain teppanyaki place here where we live, but I thought the quality of the food at Teppan Edo was much higher. The experience of watching the chef is similar though.

I wouldn't go to LeCellier at some crazy time I didn't like, it's just not that special IMO. And our local Japanese steakhouse is so good, I would try something that you CAN'T get at home. I know it gets mixed reviews, but I enjoyed my steak at Coral Reef just as much as the one at LeCellier, and the atmosphere and vibe was 100x better. Again, just MHO! Not that you shouldn't try LeC, because you should find out for yourself what all the hype is about -- but maybe next trip instead when you can get a better time?

thanks everyone for all the responses :) I think we might try teppan edo I was able to get a 12:45 reservations which is a better time for lunch. Thanks again :goodvibes

We love Le Cellier, and we haven't done Teppan Edo because we have good Japanese Steakhouse places at home. Our dinner at Le Cellier in Sept was just as good as it's always been, but I probably wouldn't eat there at 2:40 if that's not the time you're wanting to eat. There's plenty of other good places to eat. Our best meal HANDS DOWN was at Coral Reef. I was so, so surprised by how good it was! Really great food!! The Mahi was the best fish from the whole trip and the mousse was to-die-for delicious. Others in our party got the NY Strip and it was good too, a nice steak.

Our family likes Teppan Edo more than Le Cellier. Now my DS15 is the only big meat eater in our family but still... Teppan Edo is REALLY good and it is entertaining. Yes, it is a lot like the local Japanese steak houses, but it is Disney, so its even better in my opinion!! We love it!
