I can't decide which we should do. I heard Le Cellier is filling fast and is wonderful. I thought the Rose and Crown for patio around 7:30 to see Illuminations. Which is a must do? Or should I use two ts and do Le Cellier for lunch and RC for dinner. I will be traveling with DH and 4 DD's 2-11.

My vote would be for Le Cellier. We ate at both during our May vacation. We just weren't that impressed with Rose and Crown. We tried the Illuminations timing at Rose and Crown and ended up at a table inside. We were escorted to the patio viewing area and enjoyed a great view, but the food was just OK, not SUPER! On the other hand Le Cellier is one of our "must dos" and we loved the food and service.

we love le cellier, its fi's favorite restaurant at the world.

i would do lunch at le cellier & dinner at rose & crown on the patio to watch illuminations.

Both are good. I tend toward the food at LeCellier, but that's just my opinion.

Don't count on an outdoor seat at R&C for Illuminations. You might get lucky, but in general, they're hard to get. It's first come, first serve for outside, and many people come early and linger. Your time can be better spent elsewhere, then watch Illuminations in the normal way. We like a 7:30 dinner at Marrakesh (also very good), then we watch the show.

My vote goes to Le Cellier  I am in love with their creamed cheese mashed potatoes :teeth:

Both are fine, though LeCellier has a more varied menu. Illuminations from the Rose & Crown is terrific, but tough to really count on.

Without hesitation, I would have to say Le Cellier. Our last meal at R & C (last Oct.) was horrible!! I don't plan on returning there any time soon. However, I'll be at Le Cellier in another month.

heard a lot of people haven't been happy with crown they complained just about everything, the seating, service and the food....not much left not to complain about

I would vote for Le Cellier, I really like Rose and Crown, but I LOVE Le Cellier! Plus like other posters have said, it is really hard to get an outdoor table to see Illuminations. DH and I were lucky enough to get an outdoor table at Rose and Crown right at 8:00 one time, but because of the wind blowing in our direction, all we could see was smoke. It was really neat seeing Illuminations from the Rose and Crown, but we have had better viewing spots elsewhere around the lagoon.
