Hi - I'll be going with my 15 yo cousin on the Dining Plan. She is a good eater and I'm on the picky side. Which would you choose.....Le Cellier or Rose & Crown? I've never been to either.

My other plans for the week are:
Chef Mickey or Crystal Palace - will let her decide
Ohana
Whispering Canyon Cafe
Teppanyaki
Momma Melrose
HDDR

Thanks for any suggestions! I'm so excited about the dining plan but I'm driving myself crazy with all the choices. :confused3

NOT Rose & Crown.

We were there in December. I enjoyed my appetizer (I don't see it on the menu now, so I can't tell you what it was) but the Steak & Prawns entree was a big disappointment. I was very much NOT what we expected. "Grilled steack & horseradish sauce" sounded simple and right up my alley. It wasn't. And the meat was on the tough side, which did not suit my wife at all. The prawns weren't bad, but again they were not what we expected. They weren't battered and fried in the traditional beer-battery way we're used to and the sauce they were swimming in was fancy, and though fairly tasty, just didn't go.

I'm sure many will disagree, but this particular entree just didn't work for us. (And it's their "signature" entree!) I'm a fairly adventurous eater and "unique" tastes don't usually bother my wife - if that's what she's expecting. But we were both unprepared for we got.

To be fair, our other circumstances didn't help. We were there at the earliest possible seating for the Candlight Processional and service (out of the kitchen) was so slow that we barely ate our dessert, had to run to get on line, and got the last few of the reserved seats.

We found the meal at Le Cellier reasonably enjoyable.

Le Cellier! We've eaten at both and prefer Le Cellier. Food and service were great. We didn't think the food was good at Rose and Crown.

I would go for Le Cellier. We have gone to Rose and Crown in the past to get good seats for viewing fireworks in the showcase, but the food at Le Cellier is much better.

Rose and Crown was not bad, but it was not particularly memorable either.

We're going to both in September!!!! I've never been to Le Cellier or Rose and Crown before. I've heard lots of good things about Le Cellier and ok things about Rose and Crown. By the way what are prawns?????

A prawn is like a shrimp, only bigger. Usually.

I was contemplating these two restaurants too. We've done LeCellier and it was wonderful -- our best meal on our last trip. The mushroom fillet w/risotto (can't remember the name - it's still on the menu) was sooo good! I was thinking of R&C to try something different, but I think we'll book leCellier again.

I've tried Rose & Crown twice and was disappointed both times except for the Guiness :drinking1. Have only eaten at LeCellier once but it was great.

We are eating at R&C for the first time this coming trip, mainly because we never have before. We absolutely loved Le Cellier and if you havent tried either yet I would recommend Le Cellier highly. Children loved it as well. Get the Cheese soup it is to die for!

My vote is for Le Cellier... yum yum !! I lvoe the creamed chesse mashed potatoes!

I think Le Cellier looks great, if your not from Canada. The food is obviously offers a gross misimpression of Canadian food and Culture, we have all the same restaurants and food the U.S.A has!

We've eaten at both and enjoyed both immensely. However, my 14 yo dd much prefers Rose & Crown--she thought LeCellier was "too fancy." She prefers the more informal atmosphere at Rose & Crown--and she liked the food better there, too.

We've not eaten at Le Cellier, but my vote is for them. Rose and Crown gave us terrible service. Given the choice I wouldnt choose R&C.

Had many good meals and service at LeCellier :goodvibes :wizard:

We ate at Rose & Crown in 2001 and had a patio table for Illuminations - well worth it.
This Aug DS13 & I have a late lunch AR at LeCellier the day we check into BCV
