Le Cellier or not?

We have a dinner ADR at Le Cellier Stakehouse in October, however I'm having second thoughts that my family will enjoy this restaurant. Don't get me wrong my family loves a good meal, but we also love a casual meal. Is Le Cellier a place where we would feel uncomfortable in our t-shirt and shorts? Do they have kid friendly menus? I hear great reviews about the food, just worried about the atmosphere :confused3

:)

I dont worry about what to wear at any restaurant that is in a theme park, from Brown Derby to le Cellier. Most people will be wearing theme park attire there.:)

The fancier places at the resorts is another story...

you will NOT feel uncomfortable at all. You will some people dressed up but most are in shorts.

Thanks that is exactly what I was worried about..... that Le Cellier was a place that was too "fancy" for my casual family :)

It's very kid friendly and almost everyone there is casual. I've only eaten there once but I had a 4 and 6 year old with me who thought it was great. That's the great thing about Disney-almost every restaurant caters to kids and shorts!:laundy:

I have a ressie there next month and am looking forward to it.

Don't worry you will be just fine! The great thing is you get the upscale yet not too fancy food with a great atmosphere. It is not stuffy at all! It's the best of both worlds. Yes, they are VERY kid friendly there too (as most Disney restuarants are)! Enjoy!

You can absolutely wear shorts and tee shirts. They do have a kid menu also. Everybody eating there will be dressed just like you, shorts, tee shorts, flip flops, sandles, sneakers. The food there is very good I recommend it. Is not a stuffy fancy restaurant. You will enjoy yourself if you eat there. :thumbsup2

even the upscale restaurants like Narcoosee aren't stuffy with dress code---- you'll like LC-- wonderful and comfortable atmosphere and great food ...IMHO...:worship:

Le Cellier's menu sounds fancy, but it's basically a steak house in a setting that looks kind of like a wine cellar. It's small, fairly dark & cozy. When we ate dinner at Le Cellier in May 2008...did not see anyone dressed up in there, and plenty of families with all ages of kids in there. Our group was all dressed in shorts/tennies/flip flops/tshirts/polos. Did not get the impression anyone was expecting guests to be dressed up.

Go - you will enjoy it. It is very kid friendly. We went in 2006 with our then 5 year and 2 year old and they did great. We can't wait to go back this October.

My DH and I just returned last week from our trip and ate at LeCellier twice on our trip. Both times we had fabulous food and outstanding service. We were on the DDP and had plenty of food to choose from and were very full when we left. The atmosphere is very casual but in a very nice way. The second night that we were there their computers were down and they were having to do everything by hand. All of the staff (hosts/hostesses, wait staff, servers and managers) did a wonderful job of handling the situation and it was barely noticable to the customers. They were very professional and did not get flustered at all.

Great place to eat! We can't wait to go back!!

I'm sure the others have talked you out of it, but it would be a huge mistake to cancel Le Cellier...... it is a casual atmosphere in my book. My family does not like formal anything and Le Cellier is our favorite restaurant. Not even close to formal.... I wouldn't go either if it was.
