OK I seem to have gotten the job of planning the meals for the 11 people in our party traveling the first week of July. Right now I have ADR at Le Cellier for the 4th of July. I was looking over the menu last night and now I am getting a little nervous. One family in our group is what I consider picky eaters. They prefer bland food without a lot of seasoning (for example, they love Shoney's buffet). I am wandering if I should try to find another place to eat? Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated. :confused3

I didn't find find the food here overly spicey or "weird." It is basically a steak house, so if you like beef, it's all good. :) You can also ask for sauces on the side if you think you may not like the taste. We've eaten here twice (not a real vetern) and had both types of filet, the prime rib and the salmon. The appy's vary from exotic to basic and the desserts are awesome! We enjoyed it very much and have two ADR for our fall trip.

It's pretty-much the blandest restaurant in the World Showcase. I agree, ask for sauces on the side.

We are not Foodies or very adventorous eaters, but we love Le Cellier!!! I would keep the ADR and be pleasantly surprised. I got my meal without mushrooms because I have a thing about where they grow, my steak was still awesome! I dont like spicey and I am a salt and pepper only type of girl! It was one of my favorite meals!

I had chicken there that was very spicey......I would ask them up front if something is spicey.... I do that now everywhere I go as spicey food makes me ill. If it is spicey, can they cook without all those spices that tend to make things hot is usually my next question. If not, I go for a bland salad and call it a day.

Just as a thought -- how about Garden Grill? :confused3
I haven't returned there since they reverted back to the old menu. But that is all American, and they would have character interaction. With a large party that could be quite fun. :) Plus a (slowly) revolving restaurant is generally unique.

Thanks for all of the advice. We have a 4:30 ADR so we are hoping to get a great view of the fireworks. I had not thought of Garden Grill. We ate there for the ice cream social a couple of years ago but someone told me that they did away with that. I did not think it was character now. I think we might just hope they enjoy the beef. I know my sons with love it.

My dh is a very plain eater... Just meat and potato and veggie with no spices (except salt/pepper and butter for the 'tato) I like "different" foods when I eat out or am on vacation... LeCellier was great for both of us and the rest of our family/guests who like spicy/bland and even one vegetarian who was happy there... I think LeCellier will be great for you to go to.
