We are going to be at Disney in September on bounce back free dining! What would you choose between Le Cellier or Coral Reef? We have never been to Coral Reef, but we LOVE the food at Le Cellier! Their will be 9 children. Is Coral Reef and the aquariums interesting? Thank you:)

I have been to both and I would definitely choose LeCellier. We were disappointed with Coral Reef's food. The atmosphere was okay. We had a table near the back so we weren't very close to the aquarium. We thought the food and atmosphere at LeCellier (we have 2 kids ages 8 and 10) was MUCH better.

just jumping on to see what other's say as I am stuck as well choosing b/tw the two also!

With that many kids, I would definitely do Coral Reef. It was one of our best meals of our trip last year, and it was on the top of DH's list for this year. Though many people love Le Cellier, there's nothing special for the kids. Coral Reef is unique.

I think I would plan on Coral Reef too since there is something going on (the aquarium) to interest the kids and keep them occupied.

Definitely Coral reef. I have been to both and enjoyed coral reef far more than le cellier. probably because of our server, but still! also, there were 5 kids with us at le cellier and they were bored easily until that cool dessert came out! but i had a REQUEST from my little bro to do coral reef on this coming trip BECAUSE of the aquarium! and i thought the food was good!

I had the same question--we have 2:40 lunch ressies for Le Cellier, but we are thinking of changing to Coral Reef for the kids.

LeCellier but better themeing for children at Coarl Reef.:goodvibes :goodvibes Danny

Both are very good. I would choose Coral Reef as the aquarium will be entertaining for the children!:)

Both excellent food. Coral Reef is especially fun if anyone in your party is celebrating. A diver in the aquariam held up a Happy Birthday sign for my DH. It was awesome!:cool1:

We had great food at Coral Reef and loved the atmosphere as well. The children will enjoy it. They give them a sheet to mark off the various sea life as they see them. So that means they are thoroughly entertained and playing w/o fighting so you really get a break for the meal. :thumbsup2

Coral Reef. LC is too small, dark and stuffy for kids. We got much better service at CR and we loved CR's food.

We picked Coral Reef over Le Cellier for my parent's 40th anniversary trip/gift.
I don't think there's anything really special about Le Cellier - I mean, it's a decent steak but it's not that hard to find good steak restaurants.

But - where else but WDW can you eat inside a giant aquarium? For us, Disney Dining is all about the experience/theme/service/atmosphere.

I guess I was thinking that aquarium restaurants were pretty common as well. We have eaten at one near us in the Nashville area and the atmosphere is superior to Coral Reef.

Le Cellier hands down. This is not only one of my favorite restaurants in Disney, but one of the best places I have eaten anywhere!

Wow, lots of different opinions. Personally, we love both restaurants. Coral Reef is definitely more "fun" for the kids and we adults also enjoyed looking for fish and watching the sharks and large turtles. However, if you ask me what my favorite meal in Disney is, I would say the mushroom filet mignon at LeCellier. So it's a tough decision. I guess if I had to choose between the two, I'd go with Coral Reef because it's unique for my kids to "eat with the fish."
