I am travelling solo with DD4 and have a bunch of princess and character meals planned already.

However, I want one "adult" meal for me! That said, if my daughter enjoyed herself in the restaurant, that would make my meal a lot easier.

I have narrowed it down to Le Cellier or Coral Reef. Any thoughts on which is more appropriate for a 4 year old? (Or if you have another in mind, would love to hear it).

Absolutely Coral Reef over Le Cellier. There are lots of fish, turtles, sharks, etc. to keep your child happy!

Haven't been to Le Cellier yet, though we're going next trip, but Coral Reef would definitely be my choice for dinner with a 4-year old. She'll love it and I think you will, too. We're going THERE again next trip, too! :cool1:

Coral Reef for SURE with a 4 yr old. There is a little more to entertain a child. Le Cellier has great food but it is BORING for a child.

Uuuuugggghhh! After I posted this I went over to AllEars and started reading reviews of both restaurants. Had definitely decided on LeCellier after that. (Plus, we are from Canada so I thought that would be nice!)

The consensus here seems to be the other way...darn! Decisions, decisions....:rotfl:

CR is great if you get next to the tank, she would love to watch the fish. Le Cellier has great food!:thumbsup2

With a 4-year old? Definitely Coral Reef!:thumbsup2

Le Cellier has better food, but the space is small with nothing entertaining for the kids.

With Coral Reef, the little tot can watch the sharks, large sea turtles, and the big monster grouper go by. Plus, if you get a seat next to the tank, the scuba divers would keep her entertained.

AND, the food is pretty good, too!

I agree. Le Cellier is definitely one of our favorite restaurants; the food is great.
However, from your daughter's perspective, Coral Reef would win by a mile.

We love Le Cellier -- and if you're Canadian, you will be very proud -- not only of your restaurant, but of the whole Canadian section of Epcot. It is beautifully done.

That said, Coral Reef is a better choice with a 4 y/o. (We have DD5-going-on-25). Much more space, much less noise and crowding, and the spectacular and constantly-changing aquarium to watch during dinner. Plus, the food is quite good for your "adult" meal.

I love the food at Le Cellier, but i would feel much more comfortable taking a 4 year old to the Coral Reef.

We took our twin daughters to Le Cellier when they were 4 and they did quite well there. (they are 12 now!) They loved the kid's desserts (the smores one and the chocolate "moose") I have the cutest pictures of them with their desserts. I think she will do fine.

Happy planning! :goodvibes

:rotfl: Had to laugh about the "monster grouper." I'll never forget the first time one of those babies swam past me when I was snorkelling. :scared1: I swear, I think it was the size of a loveseat! DH heard me squeal (with surprise, not fear) and he was several feet behind me. Mind you, my squeal had to travel up my snorkel tube and through the air back to his ears. It was a powerful squeal. :lmao: Just then, an even BIGGER grouper swam right by me!!!! Thank goodness, they have no ill intent.

Now to your question.......Hands down, Coral Reef for a 4 year old.:thumbsup2

Our DS4 in Feb. ate more food than I've ever seen him eat at Le Cellier he had the kids pasta and was about to lick the bowl clean. He loved the food but we did get some looks because they sat us right in the middle of a bunch of couples eating and I think they worried he would be loud but all 3 couples made it a point as they were leaving to tell him he was a great eater and very well behaved. I wondered if maybe the people sitting there before us had a issue or something. I was a little nervous becaus he has PDD and he was a little timid because it was kinda dark. But me and DH thought the food was just OK.

Our favorite meal was at coral reef. It was delicious and we had a wonderful time and I didn't feel like if DS was to be loud it would be as big of a deal because the whole place was louder no one would hear it anyway. We are going back to Coral Reef for DS4 5th birthday in December and we can't wait and my picky niece 12 said Coral Reef was the only place we had to eat at again because of the "Chocolate Wave"

Don't worry about the reviews if you look every place has bad ones and good ones.

Coral Reef for sure! We were there in November and my kids loved watching the fish in the tank. It's a great experience. My DH does not like fish/seafood so I can't get him to go back again in November. He had the steak last time, but refuses to go again.
