Trying to make one more AS reservation for our trip. Which would you choose and why? Le Cellier (Canada) or Alfredo's (Italy)? How was the food & atomsphere? Planning on doing a dinner. Thanks :cheer2:

29 Days to to go!!!! :goodvibes

oooo, two of my favorites :goodvibes Le Celliar seems quieter and a little more relaxed when we have been there. Alberto's is nice too, omho it was just a little louder and more rushed but it could just have been the time we went. I love the cheddar cheese soup, bread sticks, and filet at Le Celliar - I must add that the bar is limited here, only wine and after dinner drinks from what I recall.
In Italy I ordered pasta with vodka sauce, it was supposed to come with shrimp but I had mine without (allergies) and we thought maybe they would decrease the price a little but we were still charged full price - I guess it was just wishful thinking.
Service at both places is great! You'll love whichever you choose! :cool1:

Le Cellier HANDS DOWN we love love love this restaurant. The Cheddar Cheese soup, pretzel bread and steaks are reason enough. It also has a great atmosphere. You won't regret it but make a PS, I just made my PS for September and we were forced into a 4:10pm spot! It's very popular.

I vote for LeCellier. We have been disappointed too many times at Alfredo's.

Le Cellier gets my vote.
I was hugely disappointed in Alfredos.

We like both rooms but if we could only do one.. we'd have to go with Le Cellier... and for one reason..

THE SOUP!!!

At Alfredo's it always fells like we are sitting with the family next to us.. it is a tight fit sometimes in that place. At Le Cellier, it is a little more relaxed when it comes to the seating.

Good Luck!

IMO, Alfredo's is much better. For those that don't know, Alfredo di Lello, who originally started this restaurant in Rome, INVENTED Fettuccine Alfredo. For that reason alone, go to Alfredo's. You won't be sorry. Also, the desserts are to die for. Highly recommended.

These restaurants are very different. I depends if you're a steak person or pasta person.

So what are the desserts at Alfredo's. I couldn't find a menu with the desserts listed. I'm a big sweet tooth so this will be important too. :mickeybar :teeth:

I'm also traveling with 3 kids, 13, 8 & 3 and my sister. Has anyone had kids with them and how did they like the restaurants?

I'd vote for LC even tho I've never been there. We ate at Alfredo's once and I didn't think it was worth the $. My daughter like it tho. (But I think it was more the very handsome Italian waiter than the food. :) )

My kids liked Alfredo's better, but the server at Le Cellier was extremely nice to my children. The atmosphere at Le Cellier is very quiet and dark and not much fun for kids. Alfredo's may be louder, but it's lots of fun. You really get that authentic Italian feeling.

These are my two favorite restaurants. I like doing Alfredo's for dinner and Le Cellier for lunch (for the French Dip sandwich).

The deserts they serve are a wonderful cannoli (literally the best I've ever tasted), tiramisu, and a sampler plate which includes various classic Italian desserts. Get the sampler; you won't be sorry. I can't remember exactly what it contained, but it had some gelato and another Italian dessert that is like a sweet puff ball (I can't remember the Italian name) and a few other things.

If I haven't plugged the restaurant enough, let me add a few other interesting tid-bits. There are only three Alfredo's locations world-wide: one in New York, one in Rome, and the newest in Disney World. Also, the staff, for the most part, are native Italians who speak mostly Italian, but understand English well enough. As a matter of fact, when I called one day with a question before our stay, the woman on the phone asked if I understood Italian because it would be easier for her to explain it to me. Luckily I do speak Italian! Overall, this place is a VERY authentic Italian dining experience... you will always have a great meal from the inventor of Fettuccine Alfredo! Let me know if you have any other questions.

We had the dessert sampler at Alfredo's and it was awesome--tiramasu, mousse, a kid's ladybug dessert, chocolate covered strawberry, and a couple of other chocolatey things. It was the best.

I also like the fettucine there, but it's so rich I order it with the combo plate that has lasagna (also superb) and gnocchi.

Le Cellier - hands down

Alfredo's you can get anywhere - it's just Italian food - we all have a decent italian restaurant at home, don't we?? :)

In "Italy" in the WS you can get the pastries outside (and a cold bellini to go with it) which is the best part. :)

At Le Cellier you can get the worlds most sumptuous, creamy risotto....delectable asparagus...melt-in-your-mouth filet...pretzel bread which pairs perfectly with their cheese soup...and......maple creme brulee.

:)

Plus, I think the food is more expensive at Le Cellier, so you'd be "saving" money by going there with the free dining and paying for Italian sometime in the future.

Don't get me wrong - I love pasta as much as the next guy - but I can get that at home anytime. Le Cellier was TO DIE FOR!

LeCellier, no contest. My DD loves Alfredo so we went to Alfredo's and she didn't even like it. I am not a big Italian food lover, so I hated it.

LeCellier is our favorite resturant in all of Disney. The pretzel bread is the best.

I think it depends on your taste. 'Fredo's is our favorite restaurant in all of WDW. LeCellier is also popular with our family so it's apples and oranges (or beef and pasta) :earsboy:
