Le Cellier...is it worth it?

I personally didnt like Le Cellier at all....nothing about it made me want to run back or make another ressie. The cheese soup was blah, i've had faaaar better soup at my local subway shop!!! And thats not even a joke! The pretzle bread was alright, but not mouth watering. My steak itself was too fatty and tasteless. HUGE disappointment. Even with it being 2 credits at dinner I wouldnt go back.

HOWEVER, I agree with Goofy4prez....We'll all have different opinions about a restaurant. If your curious about this place, go there and form your own opinion. If you dont like it, at least you know not to go again. But i think you'll be ok if you go there with extremely low expectations.

Our family particularly enjoyed Le Cellier. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. I am not a steak eater, so if that's what you'll be eating, I can't really say how it is. I did like my walnut crusted salmon (which I think is no longer on the menu) and loved the cheese soup and chocolate "moose". We are looking forward to returning and trying it as a signature. And I also agree that you can't go by others' reviews. We have asked people about Flying Fish, which we are trying for the first time on our next trip, and some people rave about it, and others say they didn't like it at all.

I had to ask my DH since I don't eat steak (which I assume you are going to have there) and he said 1 table credit, sure, but not 2. We ate at Yachtman's Steakhouse last October and he said the steak there was 100x better than the one at Le Cellier.

I believe this restaurant was popular because you used to have a choice of steaks at dinner for 1 table service credit. This might change with the switch to two credits. The atmosphere is really nice and the creme brulee for dessert is excellent. We don't like large meals at lunch so we won't be eating here anymore. And that doesn't really hurt my feelings much.
