Le Cellier - Good or Bad?

We've eaten there several times. Last time the food was HORRIBLE! But the time before it was very good. Just a matter of opinion.

We've been probably a dozen times and only once was the experience well below par (in March of this year). So overall, not bad. Pricey, but hey, it's Disney.

Went for the first time in over 5 years last October expecting "signature" dining but were so disappointed!! Server was rude and forgot to take the order of one person at our table. Food was average at best. Steak wasn't even close in comparison to ones we had at Flying Fish or Il Mulino and they're not "steak places".

Ate there in March. Just average for us and I like steak. We are TIW card holders so at least got 20% off. We thought there was little ambiance. More like a cafe than fine dining restaurant. Very brightly lit. Wanted to try it. We will never have to return.

It is a must do for us every trip. We missed it last year because our DD was sick (concierge was able to cancel our ADR about 2 hours before our time with no penalty). It is a 2 TS credit for the dining plan and a lot of people don't think that is a good deal. When we had "free dining" we paid out of pocket for LC because I didn't think the prices justified 2 TS credits. We like all things about LeCelier, the atmosphere, the food, the beer and wine, the Canadian servers. We have had a couple of so-so experiences over the years, but any place can have a less than stellar day. A few things about it, Cheddar Cheese Soup, Poutine Fries, Beer Flight, and Steak. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

We love Le Cellier.
We vacation on the deluxe dining plan every trip and we utilize it's value by doing a signature every night, including Le Cellier.
Is Le Cellier the best signature? No.
Is it romantic? No.
Is it quiet? No.
Does it feel upscale? No.

You have to know what you're getting as a whole experience when you go to Le Cellier, because many people go with the expectation of an upscale dining experience due to it's signature labeling and pricing. Being inside Epcot, it gets A LOT of families with young children and 99% park attire. The seating is close and it's a loud restaurant, but our service has never once been unpleasant and our food has always been excellent. We go expecting and enjoying the park feel, while still getting a very good meal. If you're going with the mindset of an upscale dining experience, then you're likely going to hate it and even remember the food itself as being inferior.

If you want a nice, quiet place to talk over dinner and sit back, relax without diners in flip flops and park clothes, adequate spacing and such, then Le Cellier is everything but that.

We had a very good experience there, filet was phenomenal. It does get some mixed reviews, but I think that if the menu looks interesting to you then you should give it a try. For us we will definitely go back.
