I have not eaten at Le Cellier, but my friend has and she said the Prime Rib was NASTY! Have any of you had the same experience? What have you eaten there that was good?

DH had filet and it was melt -in-your-mouth! I had maple salmon also wonderful. appetizers of asian shrimp(served in take-out container) and bbq duck were amazing as were the desserts. This is our new favorite..we ate there for CP dec 30, 2002.

My mom, sis, and I went for a 4-day trip last September. All 3 of us agreed that Le Cellier was the best dining experience out of our entire trip. We all ordered different items and they were all delicious! Also, we had a FANTASTIC waitress (name escapes me). We walked away from that restaurant fed, fully, and very happy. Based on that, I would recommend revisiting it.

I have never eaten there but plan to next trip as I hear their Cheddar Cheese soup is supposed to be great

We just returned on Sat. Le Cellier was awesome. DH had Halibut dinner, I had melt in your mouth filet with mashed potatoes, DS had grilled chicken and fries, DD had Cheddar Soup. DH and I started with Caesar Salad (so-so). Desserts were awesome. DD and I had Maple creme brulee (very good), DS had sorbet (three scoops on a Maple Leaf shaped sugar cookie), DH had Canadian Club chocolate cake. Really great service and friendly CM's. Definitely on our must do list for next time.

We have only eaten dinner at Le Cellier once but loved it. I ordered the prime rib and my dh the filet. I LOVE prime rib but after years of ordering it at restaurants I've found that it can be very hit or miss. I'm very particular about my prime rib lol and Le Cellier's while not bad or nasty was what I'd describe as ok but not fantastic. My dh let me try his filet and it was to DIE for. Perhaps I would have enjoyed my prime rib more if I hadn't tasted how wonderful the filet was :D

We ate at Le Cellier during Feb. of this year and the prime rib was horrible. Three of us got the prime rib and DW got a filet, which was great. We have eaten at Le Cellier before(no prime rib) and had very good food, until this PR experience. We will go back, but know what not to order now.

Here is another vote for Le Cellier.

We went for lunch on our last trip, and absolutely loved the burgers. The Cheddar Cheese soup is wonderful - the wait staff is great and our over all experience was fantastic.

I always tell people to try a place no matter what they have heard - some will like it and some won't. I think you will enjoy it, so give it a try!

I also highly reccommend Le Cellier, we went in August of 2001, and the food was phenomenal. The Cheddar Cheese soup was incredible, as was the Filet. Enjoy!:Pinkbounc

O.k. So which filet are you guys ordering, the 7 oz. filet or the Le Cellier filet?

I was at Le Cellier a week ago today (boy do I miss it). My group had the same order as Gary M -- 3 prime ribs and 1 Filet with mushroom risotto (mine). The Filet was incredible, the prime rib pretty nasty. Stay away from it. Get the Filet ($24 or $25). You won't regret it.

We are frequent visitors to LeCellier. Each time we get the filet with the mushroom risotto. The filet is fork tender melt-in-your-mouth. The risotto is rich, creamy and decadent. It is also topped with crispy fried leeks (or onion?) that compliment the buttery texture of the meal nicely. My mouth is literally watering just describing this...

Not to mention the cheddar soup and pretzel bread...:p

We had lunch there and I made my husband order the Cheddar Cheese while I had the salmon appetizer. He had not plans on eating it thinking he would get watered down cheez whiz but he practically licked the bowl clean.

The salmon appetizer was fabulous! Beautifully plated and a real treat.

The wait staff was great and really good the my girls.

Le Cellier was awesome........All 5 of us loved our dinner and dessert.........

We were there Saturday night and my husband said it was the best fillet he's ever tasted.

We have eaten at Le Cellier on several occassions and the food has always been great. Last summer I had the prime rib, it was heavenly and DM had the salmon and she said it was superb.

Le Cellier is one of my must dines each visit. I have never been disappointed in the food or the service.

Bumping this up for one more question....

Are you guys ordering the 7 oz. filet with cream cheese mashed potatoes or the LeCellier filet?

Loved Le Cellier, but being Canadian I may be a little bias. :D The cheese soup was as fantastic as has been described throughout the boards. Dh ordered Prime Rib and loved it, I had the trout (I think, I know I ordered fish :D) The dk's all had the fun desserts after the meal. Be warned they are very large and easily sharable. Ds had chocolate 'moose', it is adorable! Dd had a 'firecracker' (smore with a marshmallow standing up like a firecracker) She loved it but said given a choice she like the smores at 50's prime time better.
