Anyone on here who has tried the Moose & can tell me about it? Besides what it looks like, I mean.
Also, has anyone had a PS for a restaurant & just gone in and gotten appetizers or a dessert?

Thanks!:wave2:

It's a very righ, dark, moist chocolate cake.

As far as taking a table for just appetizers or dessert, I would never do such a thing during peak dining hours, but might think about it later in the evening or very early as soon as the restaurant opens. And I wouldn't linger.

Not when we had it.
It was chocolate mousse....i.e. chocolate pudding. On a chocolate chip cookie with maple cookie ears and a raspberry nose. The moose had been rolled in chocolate cookie crumbs.

You know, I think Crisi is right and I'm thinking of something else. I think I have a photo of it someplace if the OP wants me to post it.

Here's a photo of our chocolate "moose" that my daughter ordered in Dec. 2002. It is not a cake, but rather a round cookie with a scoop of chocolate mousse, and another scoop of mousse in front. Both scoops of mousse are dusted with cocoa. Two maple leaf cookies are inserted as "antlers", and two blueberries and a strawberry are used to form the face. The tongue and whiskers are painted on the plate using raspberry coulis and chocolate.

Hope this helps!

All the lunch and dinner times were taken for the date I could go to Le Cellier, so me taking a table up at a peak time for a long period would not be an issue.
Thanks for the moose pics, DISers--very cute!
