I was really looking forward to having a steak at Le Cellier, but I waited too long to make ADRs, and it is already booked for lunch and dinner during our March stay. :sad1:

I'm going to keep trying to get in, but where should I make a backup reservation for a good steak? Thanks!

If you are willing, nearby at the Beach Club/Yacht resort is the Yachtmans' Steakhouse. I really like eating there.

If you're on the DDP and looking for a 1 TS credit meal, then I'd suggest Chefs de France. Everyone in our party that had the beef tenderloin raved about it :thumbsup2 The Strip steak at Turf Club @ SSR is also very good.

For Signature dining, you can't go wrong with Yachtsman or Jiko :goodvibes

Keep trying! Call the reservations line every day until you succeed. Be willing to juggle your other reservations around. I just called a second time to switch up a few of our reservations. Just to see what would happen, if they would reject a new reservation until I canceled the previous one, I've double booked for a few nights. As a rule, I believe this is bad form, specifically because it closes people like the OP out, but I was just testing the system. I bet people do this all the time. I'm going to call back and cancel three of our previous reservations, opening up those times and restaurants for others. Sooo, I bet somebody has booked two nights at Le Cellier or something else weird and just hasn't cancelled their original reservation yet. Le Cellier is one of our favorites, a must-do on every trip. I think it's worth it to be persistent. Just ask for anything during your time at WDW, and see what they have. One trip we did lunch there, and it was lovely, not crowded at all (granted, we usually go in February or March). On the other hand, the suggestions of others are excellent choices. Good luck!

We ate at Coral Reef for lunch and Le Cellier for dinner on the same day and DH preferred Coral Reef's steak. He also had steak at Turf Club and he wasn't fond of it.

We ate at Coral Reef for lunch. We thought it was our best meal of that trip. DH liked his steak. I got steak as well but traded it with DS for his childrens menu chicken (I liked the chicken better). Yummy! Brocolini was good too! Nice atmosphere as well. My kids liked being able to eat in an aquarium! :thumbsup2

I don't order steak. But everyone talks about Yachtsman's (I have never been there - a steakhouse is not the place for me) and you could walk there from Epcot.

I think it also costs a good deal more than Le Cellier, though.

Keep calling! I have been trying for a few weeks to get in there and FINALLY yesterday I called SEVERAL (and I do mean several) times and got a lunch ressie. I'm still going to be calling though...while I don't mind lunch my ressie is for 4 and I do need it to be for 5 (I was testing to see if I could get anything since I wasn't having success with 5). We leave in 10 days so it is possible if this is a place you really want to eat. Good luck!

I would go to the Yachtsmans Steakhouse, it is a must for us every trip.

I was wondering about that. We are going with a party of 7 and I wonder if I would have an easier time booking a party of 8. With their computer systems as they are, I bet if they have a table for 8, a party of 7 coudn't sit there???? I really want to make a ressie for Le Cellier but am afraid even if I call right at open time 90 days out I won't get it it. What do you think?

Fo OP, I like Kona's I had a NY strip steak there and it was fantastic!

In our opinion, Yachtsman is the best, LC was just "eh" the last two times we dined there. Steaks were tough and service was awful (we don't do DDP either, so it was OOP for us). YS steaks were fork tender, service impeccable. (Be warned it is pricy though, it's a 2TS signature restaurant)

Keep trying! I had a 7:40PM ressie, wanted earlier. Changed to 4:20PM...too early, but better than keeping the kiddies up till all hours. :rotfl:

So last night I called again and managed to score a 5:55PM ressie - for about 15 days from now! So there is definitely hope. :)
