How is Le Cellier at lunch? I love this place, but I'm not willing to use two credits on dinner. Is lunch worth a TS credit, or should we pass this trip?

We just ate there for lunch on Sunday, and it was AMAZING. The service was great and the food was probably the best meal we had all week! We did not feel rushed or anything, everyone was really friendly and it was a great break in the middle of the day!

My thoughts exactly. We had the BEST meal of our trip at Lunch. Matt our server was great.

Dh is still talking about our LeCellier lunch. I just made 2 Lunch ADR's for our trip in May. :cool1:

You should definitely do Lunch at LeCellier! :lovestruc

Lunch at Le Cellier is very good. My favorite is the Filet Mignon with Mushroom risotto. The Le Cellier hamburger is also really good.

One thing to note is no one knows if the menu will remain the same after Le Cellier switches to a Signature at dinner on March 1. There is the potential that the lunch menu will change as well.

we had lunch there a couple of weeks ago and it was great (had the cheese soup for apps, and the filets. Delish. Great service, too. And since we had first seating for lunch, the place was not full so it was not as noisy/crowded as usual...they don't fill all the seats right when they open...stagger the bookings so tables fill gradually for first hour or so.

However, when are you going? If it's after March 1, you might want to wait and see what they're going to do with the menu. It could be there's nothing on there you want to spend one credit on, either. There's been a lot of speculation about how the menu will change = obviously the dinner menu is expected to get better to reflect the signature status. But since lunch will remain one credit, there has been speculation it will be reduced. One suggestion is that it will go to all traditional "lunch" foods...heavy on the soup/salads/sandwich and the steaks will not be on lunch menu for one credit. There's no official menu out of course...but I'm sure people will report back here once the changeover occurs. So I suggest you stop back on the Disboards around 3/5 or so. There should be reports by then.:thumbsup2

I have been to Le'Cellier and have found it to be AVERAGE and less than spectacular.. Not bad, but not great. Service wait times were extremely long to be seated. I was not begging to experience the Mushroom Fillet again as it left me with the feeling, "this is what all the hype is about?" And thought the cheese soup was OK. Bread sticks now were excellent, that I will admit.

I agree with you, without knowing what the menu will be at Le'Cellier as a signature there is no way I would give up 2ts for it. For that matter, until Le'Cellier reveals the coveted secret of it's menu, I wouldn't even risk it for lunch. Also, unless this restaurant is transformed into a "blow me away" place that meets the euphoric hype I wouldn't give up 2ts either. As for lunch, I personally would not give up 1ts for any restaurant with the lunch menu.

I guess I"m just as passionate in my opinion of this place with my average experience as those who feel it is the greatest steak house dining experience they have ever experienced in their lives. :confused3

We always enjoy lunch at LC. Of course who knows what the new menu will bring but you'd think they'd still have the great soup at the very least, and the pretzel breadsticks. That's at least a start! It's good advice to check back in early March, there will surely be reports of the new menu and reviews.

We have never tried it but it is one of the hardest places to get a reservation b/c it is so well known for good food. We are planning to try it during our trip this summer

That's what I'm thinking.

I have an adr in late May for lunch. We have always had dinner there but refuse to spend 2 TS credits on it as well. If the menu is dumbed down after March I will be dropping it and adding something else in Epcot.

I have a lunch reservation for July, but it they cut back on the menu I will book somewhere else.

I have a lunch reservation for April. I'm paying OOP so it doesn't really matter if the menu is just burgers and soup. Unless they charge $20 for a burger that is...

Same here. I figure that since so many are willing to use a TS credit for a sandwich at The Plaza, then undoubtedly Le Cellier can get by doing the same.

Same here, we are going for the first time for lunch in June :woohoo:. We really enjoy the food here, but don't think it's worth two dining credits.

Lunch at Le Cellier rocks! We had a flawless experience during an early lunch.:thumbsup2 We'll be back soon!

We thought our filet and NY strip at lunch was just as good as dinner. With a cup of cheese soup and pretzel bread the lunch portion was plenty for us. We even had room to split dessert. We always pay OOP so it saved us about $8 pp. too.
