I finally got a ressie for Le Cellier. What do you recommend on the menu? Hubby hates onions and I pretty much will eat anything.

I would recommend the filet to anyone - it comes with a mushroom sauce/risotto but you can ask for it without this if you don't like mushroom.

Our family also loves the filet. Last trip it was the filet for everyone. The mushroom risotto can be a bit on the salty side so last time I went for the cream cheese mashed potatoes which were delicious.

My husband loved the strip steak, it was one of the best steaks he'd had. There are some new items on the menu (I've already sent menu pics in so it can be updated). I had the new Korean BBQ Beef Skewer entree. It was really, really, really good. Not a lot of meat - just 6 kabobs but if you're not into eating large portions of meat, or you can swipe some of your dining partner's strip steak (like I did) its more then enough. It comes with bok choy, rice and some kimchi. I also loved the mussel appetizer, Prince Edward Island mussels are some of the best in the world (along with the New Zealand Green).

DW and I just had dinner there two weeks ago. We both had the fillet and it was very good. We would highly recommend the filet to anyone! Excellent meal. :thumbsup2

Another vote for the mushroom filet here! If you like mashed potatoes then switch out the risotto for cream cheese mashed potatoes. They are SOOOOO good!!! I also loved the cheese soup with the pretzel bread dipped in. :cloud9: Only 1 more week until I can dig into this! :goodvibes

We also scored reservations at LeCellier this year....after several years of not being able to get in. I guess having to give a credit card to hold a reservation is making an impact on double bookings.....

If you are eating there for dinner, try the creamed spinach. It is baked and very yummy!

Thanks everyone. I did see pics of the filet. Think I will try that. Yep, I bet the credit card hold is keeping some people away. Good for the rest of us!

Our trip is about two months away. Yesterday, I had no trouble getting a reservation for Le Cellier. Had my choice of days and times. I think the cc hold is indeed making things better. Also had no trouble getting CG (but we prefer to dine at opening, there) and Bistro.

The filet is very good and my dh likes the hamburger and the strip steak. As an app, we love the cheese soup and the duck

We just had dinner there on Friday. I got the filet, which was very good. DH ordered the ribeye, but wished he had gotten the filet. He also ordered the cheese soup, which we both loved!

I would recommend the filet or the Le Cellier burger. The cheddar cheese soup and duck appetizers are fantastic as well.

and I tried the steak and potato skillet which was amazingly good.....a big surprise for me and my wife had the burger....she said it was delicious :)

I thought the burger was off the menu now ( at least I don't see it appearing on the new one ).
