I called right away in the morning when my reservation window opened (staying onsite) and the only time I was able to get LeCellier for dinner for our party of 6 was 4:20pm (which I took, but don't really want to eat that early). The CM offered to break us up into 2 tables to get a little later ADR, but the point of taking the Grandparents out to dinner is to actually eat with them.

I called back again this morning at 7:00am b/c it is exactly 90 days out and I've read that they hold back some reservations until the 90 day mark. Of course, the system was down and by my 6th call when I finally got to make an ADR ... there is no availability for a party of 6 on the night I wanted. In fact, the CM only found one time slot with room for 6 the entire week (it was 2 days after we leave). I was floored.

I think we'll try Coral Reef instead.

Well, one option is to call back at 45 days out, and then to call in the days leading up to your trip. People do cancel all the time. Unfortunately, though, parties of 6 are harder to seat than parties of 2 or 4. That being said, Coral Reef is lovely, and watching the fish is a truly unique experience.

Try lunch??

Hopefully something will open up for you. I know we are a party of 11 and I am not looking forward to the struggle we are going to have booking our ADR's.

Last year I made reservations for my family (party of 7) and was told in 3 different restaurants that we would have to split into a tabe of 3 and a table of 4. However, when we got to the restaurants we sat together every time all at one table. One of these restuarants was Le Cellier, also 50's PT and WC. So it may be worth a try to book two seperate tables.

That's what we did last year! Lunch as world showcase opened:thumbsup2
BTW there were 5 of us at a 6 top table

I thought about that, now I'm wondering if I'm too late for that as well ... I might just call back this evening. I'll ask DH what he thinks.

Wow! I've never heard of this ... how did I miss it??? The CM on the phone just said we could book a table of 2 and one of 4, but I never imagined we would get seated together. How did you do this? Did you ask when you checked in at the podium? We will be there the week before Easter, do you suppose the busy factor would make them less likely to seat us together???

For our 3 ADR's this Oct (party of 7) we were told that we would be assigned 2 separate tables (a 3 and a 4) but that they do their best to seat you as close as possible. At every restaurant, we were sat together. I think they tell people this so that if you do get split up, they won't be too upset since they've already been warned it could possibly happen.

I also vote for lunch at LeCellier. The food is still great and sometimes, less expensive. I also suggest calling back. People cancel ADR's for all sorts of reasons, sometimes even the morning of.

We were a group of 11 last time and on each ADR we were split between 2 and 3 tables. When we got to the restaurants, on every occassion except 1 (Crystal Palace) we were seated together.

We did nothing special upon check-in. Just told them our name and they asked if all seven were present. Guess we just got lucky.
Good luck to you.

Sorry to hear that you had such an issue. I called on Monday for ADRs for an 8 night trip coming up in March. I got all but one with in 20 minutes of when we wanted. I guess I got lucky and I think it helped that we did want to eat early as close to 5:00 as possible. Remember that by the time you get to the host stand and get seated it may be a full hour.

For that day I would skip breakfast or get some doughnuts and do an early lunch say at 11:00 this way you will be ready to put on the feed bag when you get seated.

I just got an ADR on Tuesday night for just me, was told there was nothing available for dinner, just lunch at 11:45am! Took it, as always I have to eat at LeCellier on my last day. It's my favorite restaurant in WDW!

this was our experience as well. We had a party of 9, and with every ADR, the CM told me they would have to split our party up. I said fine, but at every restaurant we were all seated together at one table. We never had to even ask, the table was always already all set up! The only exception was Sci Fi, since the cars only hold 6. good luck!

I don't enjoy eating my dinner at 4:20 in the afternoon, but if it is that or nothing until I come back in a year or two, I will eat there at 4:20 in the afternoon!

I know that does seem early, but that's around my favorite time to get dinner ADRs. The crowds haven't shown up at the restaurants yet and you usually don't have to wait for your table. Also, it allows you plenty of time to digest your food prior to beddie bye time. :cloud9:

I would call back. I called at my 90 day window, we check in April 4th, so we will be there the same week as you. We are eating at Le Cellier, Flying Fish, Sci Fi, Brown Derby, Cali Grill, 50s Prime Time, Plaza, Artist Point, Mama Melrose, and Tutto Italia and I got the ressie I wanted for 6 at all of them. I even called back today and switched two of them around because we had rethought our plans. Just keep trying back, maybe even be more flexible with your plans, could you eat lunch instead of dinner at le cellier? Check the menu to be sure it would work for you, if it would then try if the timing is ok, it is cheaper too, and there might be a ressie open. We got in at lunch for 6. Good luck!!:) Just thought to add, we usually try for lunch around 1:30 to 2, and have good luck. If we get hungry between breakfast and lunch, a mickey bar will hold us over and the restaurants aren't quite as crowded as right at 12 noon.

We have never been seated at 2 seperate tables, even though lots of times we were told when we made ressies that we would have 2 tables.
