When I called to make an ADR for Le Cellier the only reservation I could get at a time would work for my family was for 2 tables. I have a table of 2 and a table of 3. Our children will be 5,6, and 13 months at the time of our trip. I was iffy about making the reservation but did b/c it was the only one available. I wanted to think about it. They told me almost always when they see the children in the party, they will put us at tables beside each other.

What do you think. I'm leaning toward cancelling it but I'm not sure what to do. If I do cancel, any suggestions as to a replacement dinner. We are going to be in vacationing Dec. 17-22nd. We are staying at the Boardwalk. I considered the Coral Reef but reviews have been so mixed I decided against it.

Our other dinner reservations are for Chefs de France ,Teppanyaki, and Crystal Palace (MVMCP night). We also have a character breakfast at Cape Mays.

When the dinner packages for the Candlelight Processional come out, I may cancel/re-add/update one of my Epcot dinners. (depending on availability, etc.)

It seems to me that they always book you at 2 tables if you have more than 4 in your party. This happened to us last August and they sat us at one table without a problem. We are going back to Le Cellier this August and are again booked at 2 tables. I'm not worried about it. The CM's are very good at accomodating our guests. If we must be split up, DH can dine with our 15 month old :teeth: .

I suspect a party of 5 could probably be accommodated, but keep in mind that of all the Epcot restaurants, Le Cellier is the most difficult in that regard, because it is so small and cramped to start with. Having said that, due to how little chance of a problem there is, I think it would be worth the risk.

As a family of 5 (and sometimes more these days) I understand your dilemma. However, most restaurants will try to place you at the same table once you check in. Has something to do with the reservation system. I would not even mention the 2 table thing at check in unless they bring it up. If they say something like - 2 parties - tell them, no one party of 5 and they will do their best to accommodate you. We have never been split up, but that doesn't mean it couldn't happen.
I have not been able to get LeCellier for our Sept Trip. Still hoping....

That makes me feel a ton better. Thanks for your replies. I'll probably just keep the ADR now. Worst case scenario would be I eat with the child in the best mood that day and put DH with the other 2 - :lmao:

They will put two tables toghter they did it for us.  party: party: party: party:

Keep the reservation and as others have said, when you show up you are a party of 5. If they pursue it, you did not understand what the CM who did the booking meant...you thought they were pushing two tables together one for a party of 2 one for a party of 3. ;)

Well, I wouldn't fib like that. :) It's enough to ask nicely to be seated together. The CMs know that reservations makes it clear that they never promise a push-together like that, so that tack could backfire. Honey or vinegar, eh?

We are also a family of 5 (Me, DW, DS-12, DDs 7 and 2).

We have ad reservations two different times a Le Cellier where they had us booked at two different tables. Both times when we showed up they did never mentioned the two reservations and they seated us at a table for 4 one time and pushed the high chair up to the side and the other time they seated us at a table for six.

It was not a big deal either time.

I guess there is always a chance you could get into trouble, but dining with young kids we usually eat dinner early.

Good Luck!!

:thumbsup2 That's my plan! :rotfl:

We've gone down as a large group and made reservations at many WDW restaurants. Most times they always tell us they'll have to split us up and when we get there we always end up sitting together. They almost always try to keep you together - especially when they see the party involved!!!
