We have a 6:30 ADR at Le Cellier and Illumination is at 9 pm. Do you think that's enough time to be out in time to see Illuminations?

That is plenty of time. And you will love the food there! My DH DS and I went there in September (first time) and we loved it! The bread is GREAT! We both had the prime rib and loved it! Enjoy!

I think it's probably enough time, but maybe not a lot more than enough, depending on how long before Illuminations you'd like to be there to stake out a good spot. I think you should plan on 2 hours at Le Cellier. It could be less, but it's not unusual to have to wait for a table there, even with an ADR, and service is not hurried.

2 hours will put you out the doors to find your spot 30 minutes before IllumiNations, which will be ok if you're not there at a busy time of year.

Last time I ate there, they had some revisions to their menus......I do not do spicey foods and even though they had the list of ingredients on what I ordered, it never mentioned spicey. Let me just say here, it was more than spicey and I could not eat it. So, make sure you check what you order if you are someone who cannot eat spicey foods.....I did feel we were rather rushed by our castmember and I believe we were in and out in about 45 minutes....

We had 6:30 AR's in Oct. and got there early (6:15), but had to wait a while to get seated (maybe by 6:45?) and were out in plenty of time to get a good spot for Illuminations (by the Rose and Crown Pub). We waited there for a while as well.

It really depends on your server. We had 6:45 ressies 2 weeks ago and didn't get out until 9:20 because of it was packed and a party of 18 arrived, which really slowed our service down.

I think 6:30PM is just right... though of course it depends on several things:
1. Server- how fast/slow they are
2. How big your party are- if it's 2 people, you'll be faster; if it's a family of 6, well, expect more time
3. What you order- if you eat your steak well done, expect to sit in the restaurant for longer. Table next to us were seated when we arrived and had their appetizers, but because they ordered their steak well done, their entrees arrived when ours did (we have ours rare).
4. How much you order- appetizer, entree and dessert? Expect 90-120 min. Just an entree? You'll be out in no time.
5. The wait- crowded day, even with an ADR, expect to wait.

We ate there last week. ADR was 7.00PM but we didn't get seated till 7.15PM and we showed up early. Didn't get out till 10 min before 9PM. Most good spots for watching fireworks were taken.

Well, I can speak from experience here. We had a 6:20 ADR at Le Cellier last week. We didn't get seated until 6:50. We ate and left the restaurant around 8:50. The service was slow, but the food....Oh my, the best I've ever had at WDW. I had the Salmon and it was delicious. I tasted a little of everyone else's and it was just as tasty.

As for your time to see Illuminations, you should be ok; however, you may not get your choice of where to see the show.

Le Cellier is great, you will love it.

Good Luck...

it looks like you are going in Jan so i would guess it should be ok

6:30 was perfect for us. We were out in enough time to wander a bit and find a spot for Illuminations (we ended up right by one of the Friendship piers on the Future World side of the lagoon). We were there the first night of F&W, so you should have lower crowds in January.

And the food was fabulous!

Just went last week and got a last-minute seating at 8:50 (with Illuminations at 9:00). The servers are very good at accommodating the Illuminations schedule; we placed our orders for dinner, went out and watched the show, then returned in time for our soup/salad course to arrive.

Had the filet (to die for!); grilled asparagus (pretty good); and pretzel bread (absolutely amazing! Ask for more of this - they'll bring you plenty if you ask). Others in our party had the beef skewer appetizer, which was also very good (but about half of the amount of beef as the smaller filet). People also rave about the cheese soup; I tried my friend's, and liked it, but thought it was more "potato soup with a little cheese" than true cheese soup.
