ok, I know I probably misspelled le celliar, but I figured you would know what I am talking about! :) Trying to decide which of these two would be better. It will be me, DH and DS(5). :flower: Looking for good atmosphere and food. We'll be on the free dining plan. :cool1: We have all other ADR's made. (O'hana's - first time; Chef Mickey's - first time; Crystal Palace - First time; Sci-Fi Dine - repeat trip; and Donaldsbreakfasaurs - First time). We were thinking of swapping chef mickey with Donald for breakfast and then adding something else where chef mickey is for dinner. Which of these two do you guys suggest? Thanks in advance! ::MinnieMo

WCC is lively, fun (depending on server), noisey, and your DS would have a chance to run around. LC is dark, excellent food, steakhouse kind of ambiance.
Both are good, but very different atmosphere.
Have a great trip! :flower:

WCC has a fun atmosphere (like the OP said..it depends on ther server and we didn't have a rowdy server :guilty: ) I didn't care for the food-at all. I've never been to Le Cellier, but alot ofpeople rave about it. BOMA is awesome. It can be fun trying all those dishes you can't pronounce!

We ate at both this past weekend. It's tough to compare them. When we dined at Le Cellier, we overheard a family raving about how good their meal was. I may get flamed for this, but I wasn't overly impressed by my meal. Dh and I both had the surf and turf. The lobster was fantastic, but the steak was not nearly as good as the one dh had CG the night before. Our meals were good but not $36/entree good.

We did both on this trip and I would pick LeCellier. Although kids had a good time at WCC and food was okay, LeCellier was much better. Kids liked their "northern lights" drinks too.

Le Cellier is MUCH better food. WCC is good for a 1 time experience....for the antics not the food.

Thank you so much for all the replies! :flower: I am kinda leaning towards Le Cellier, but still have to talk with DH tonight. These boards are so great! I wish I would have known about them before our last trip! :wizard: I will be reading all replies if anyone else leaves any! Thanks again! :)

I say it would depend on what type of food and atmosphere you want. WCC is very loud and their lunch/dinner is a skillet style BBQ plate while Le Cellier is quieter more sophisticated steak house... If your on the dining plan I would think Le Cellier is the better value... I have ADR for both Le Cellier for dinner and WCC for breakfast..

I'm putting in another vote for Le Cellier, partly because I love it and I don't love WCC, but also partly because it looks like your schedule's already heavy on the "fun atmosphere" kind of places, and you might welcome a quiet, relaxing meal for a change.

This is not what you asked, but I'll comment anyway. I think you mentioned you're having dinner at chef Mickey's. Don't. The food at dinner was not that great. I know you're paying for the characters but the food should be good too. It was average food at best and the selection was slim. However, we have ADRs for breakfast there I think twice in October. The breakfast is great. Of course, it's convenient too because we're staying at the Contemporary.

That's just my opinion and I thought I'd share it.

i think a 5 yr old would enjoy whispering canyon much more....the skillet is not good imo but they also have a regular menu and the pork chops are fantastic ( usually not a big fan of pork chops but got them on a wim and they were great). it's a"disney" kind of place which to me is the point of going to Disney..it's loud but you don't have to particpate and it is still fun seeing others being rowdy

Le Cellier is more romantic to me, also good food, probably the atmosphere would be lost on a 5 yr old hence my vote for wc..can't really go wrong at either imo
