I was looking at some cameras (I had decided on the Canon SD600, but maybe I should find something cheaper I don't know) and I was looking at the Canon A530. One site said that the lcd had 77,000 pixels whereas the SD600 has 173,000. What does that mean? Does it matter if I go with the one with lesser pixels? Will it affect how the picture is taken and what it will look like when I upload it or print it?

The LCD on the back of the camera will show better detail, but it won't affect the pictures you take.

Does the # of LCD pixels have anything to do with.. umm I dunno how to word it, so lemme try to explain:

in my HP i have right now, when i scan a room or something the screen gets all jumpy. Is that cuz it has low amount of LCD pixels?

LCDs rewrite rates are slow, that is what causes the blockyness you describe.

I am not sure if having more pixels in the LCD would improve speed, but it does imply "better quality."

I would not pay extra for a bigger LCD(that is just me), I do not need to run photoshop on the in camera LCD as long as it shows a histrogram I am fine.

Thank you, I am learning so much from you guys on this board.
