Does anyone have a layout of the OKW Grand Villas? On the Disney site, they don't have one.

Thanks,

Attached are the first and second floor plans for a Grand Villa at OKW.

Sorry it looks like my attachment did not work. Try www.disneyvacationclub.com, then go to member resorts, then accomadations and then select the grand villa floor plans. If you still have trouble locating the plan I would be happy to e-mail it to you.

Doc,

I don't know if it is just me, but I hit your site but the floorplans don't load. The first one seems to start but then nothing more and I get a Done status from my browser.

Where in the Twin Cities do you live? It sounds like you are not a member. If you need something, just let me know. I have lots of extra pics etc just lying around gathering dust!

Thanks Diane -

We are in Chanhassen (the unflooded part ;) ). We did close on OKW in December, but we purchased at HH. I know what the HH 3brs (do they call them Grand Villas at HH?). We have never been on site at OKW, although we have been by it and at WDW a few times.

We were planning a family reunion in the next few years and just wanted the family to know what I am intending on providing, and then they can decide who is staying with me, and who will get their own rooms.

The Grand Villa at OKW is perfect for two families.

This is how I use it every year....

I arrive on a Sunday with another family. We get the master, the other couple gets one bedroom and the common kids stay in the third. Some time over the next weekend, the first family leave and a different family arrives. Sometimes there is a crowded Saturday night, but there is plenty of room.

The second week just switcheds guests. We have housekeeping skip the trash and towel and have them do the full cleaning on the day the new guests will be staying. The pull out couch in the living room may be used on the crowded night, or if there is a stray teenager or two.

It really works well and since my wife's family and mine are strewn all over the country, it makes for very comfortable, not overwhelming renunions. It also allows us to treat friends and family that woud otherwise be unable to afford a WDW vacation.....its a lot easier to get someone to accept a room than paying for their hotel.

We had three families (12 people) in a GV 2 years ago, and it was plenty big for us. One family had 3 kids who shared the upstairs bedroom with the 2 Queen beds. The little one slept in the porta crib.

One family had the room with 2 double beds(one 11 year old slept with a parent).

We took the master, and our adult son used the hide-a-bed. We were all very comfortable and loved the large kitchen and dinning area. The laundry was well located in the GV because it was just off the kitchen. We have found the laundry near the master in the 2BR units to be a slight problem.

Getting a Grand Villa at OKW can take some doing. They have built some more Grand Villas at OKW, but I believe they are one of the hardest units to get at 7 months out. I usually book one night at a time at 11 months out when I want a Grand Villa. I want to make sure I have my reservation. Those first 2 weeks in December, it is almost impossible to get a Grand Villa if you do not call 11 months out, and every day. But, that might have changed, since the last time I booked a Grand Villa

Good luck! :D
