Layout Challenge #9

My journaling is very plain. Maybe a box, sometimes a few handwritten words under the photo. This weeks challenge involves using journaling as a highlight/title for you page. Here is the sketch to follow:

The light gray is the 12x12 background, but you can make any size you like.
Remember this is only a guideling for the layout. The journaling section is what I want you all to concentrate on. Here is the link to where I found the sketch and what the members there did with it. http://stucksketches.blogspot.com/2008/11/sketch-65.html

I'll have to think up something good for the prize.

K&Company Alphabet Acetates to go, over 300 Die-cut alphabets.
Forgot to add - you can use your computer to do some or all the journaling part to make it easier to change fonts & sizes. I think this would be a good time to use those chipboard letters or transparencies.

I will be drawing the winning name on Sunday, December 14th.
Winner will post next challenge of their choice and provide next prize.

Here is my take on the sketch. I used a jelly embellishment to make the larger "friends" on the transparency and the rhinestone Friends [thanks Mickster ] to be the title. I used a ribbon, but didn't put a bow and didn't use as many layers of paper (mostly because I cut the larger one not large enough ). It took about 30 minutes, using paper & supplies I had here. Yes, I do have quite the stash.

You didn't miss it. I forgot to post it. Blonde and achy head are not a good combo.

From a blogspot called "Stuck!". They have weekly sketches you can use to make your pages. I think most of them use digital, but I figured a sketch is a sketch. If you click on the link for the examples and then click on the "Stuck!" at the top of the page, it'll take you to their home page. It's where I got my first sketch from too.
