Two things--- 1...what is chalking? I am thinking it is using chalk on the edges, but am not positive....sorry, i'm just starting to explore "techniques"
2...I get so excited when the winner is posted, but always go back through all the pages to see what the winners LO looked like...maybe for next time the winners LO could be posted with the announcement? Just a thought?

It is a term used for adding color to the edges. You can use inks or real scrapper's chalk to do it.

It's not the LO that wins, just submitting layouts puts your name in the drawing. So calling extra attention to that LO defeats the purpose of this challenge. We really want everyone to look at everyone's LO.

Thanks everyone! I never win anything. NEE I'm sending you my addy. Can someone tell me what the original rules were for the challenges. I started with #3 so I guess I need to know what kind of prize to have and what to do for the next challenge. ALthough I already have an idea that I did yesterday.

Congrats WDWMom!! As far as rules for the challenges just something that might stretch us a little but still something that everyone can do. We haven't ever had restrictions on the types of photos to use (we decided we didn't want to) we have had a monocromatic challenge, a sketch challenge, this one with distressing techniques, and one that included a pecific color (black).
