Dear Customers and Suppliers:

As the CFO of a business that employees 140 people, I have resigned myself to the fact that Barrack Obama will be our next President, and that our taxes and government fees will increase in a BIG way. To compensate for these increases, I figure that our customers will have to see an increase in our prices of about 8%. However, since we cannot increase prices right now due to the dismal state of our economy, we will have to lay off six of our employees instead.

This has really been eating at me for a while, as we believe we are family here and I didn't know how to choose who will have to go. So, this is what I did. I walked thru our parking lot and found 6 Obama bumper stickers on our employees' cars and have decided these folks will be the first to be laid off. I can't think of a more fair way to approach this problem. These folks wanted change; I gave it to them.

Well, considering that Valeo's site says...Present in 28 countries, the Group employs 61,200 people at 125 production sites, 62 Research & Development centers and 9 distribution platforms.* and not 140 as the email says, I also doubt that it is true.

This is just silly. It would be one stupid CFO who would not only write this, but then send it out to customers.

Plus any CEO, CFO, COO, etc. that makes business decisions based on election outcomes with out waiting to see what policies and laws are actually enacted first is an idiot. Making contingency plans is one thing, firing people because you think newly elected officials may increase taxes is just stupid.
