We're ( two adults, no kids) flying into LAX at the end of November. What's the best way to get to DLR? we will be staying at the Grand Californian. The Disneyland Express by Grayline looks kind of expensive. Would a taxi be about the same? I'm never used Uber and am just a little apprehensive.

There are many options and many people will give you different suggestions. Our first trip is next month and we will be using Uber for the first time since it seems to be the cheapest and quickest for us (2 adults and 1 kid).

Look into super shuttle. It was 34 dollars one way. But the service was great! As soon as we landed they had sent me a message welcoming us to LA and instructions on how to inform them we were ready for pick up. Once we confirmed it was under 5 minutes till we were picked up. And it only stopped at one other hotel before dropping us off. If you sign up for their mailing list. I have noticed they run specials here and there.

Also you can arrange round trip. Which made everything easy. I gave them what flights I used. And they gave me times they could get me to make the flight.

We took the Disney bus last time. I think it would be fine if you are arriving during daylight hours. We landed around 630 AM and spent a solid hour on the curb cut between the taxis and other tour buses before they got over to us. It was a nice, comfortable ride after that though. After flying all night and the dismal state of LAX refurbishment (no starbuck, no snacks) and two kids that were absolutely destroyed, I wouldn't do it again. This time we're just going to take a cab.

On Thursday we waited 25 minutes after getting outside of lax, having done they online checkin so as to shorten the wait time.

Let me tell you, waiting that long outside lax is unpleasant. And the timing meant I could have just about taken the Express.

Normally I use Karmel shuttle but it was 10pm the night before when I realized I needed transportation and Karmel was full. And rental cars were full. And we were landing at 8:59 and I didn't want to wait an hour for the bus.

Sigh. Not doing it again!

We travel from Australia so after a 14-15 hour flight, we don't want to wait for shuttles. We booked a car and driver in February. We landed at 6:15am, passed customs and by 7:30am we were checked into our hotel. By 8:45am we had unpacked, showered, and were at the Parks. It was the absolutely best way for us.

We rented a car from Alamo when we went in June. It's a great idea because you don't have to depend on anyone else but yourself:car:

Who did you book with? An approximate cost please.

We used Lanskys a couple of weeks ago. It's a bit pricier when you only have 2 ( as we did) but having the driver waiting for you with no wait- then going directly to your hotel made it more than worth it. On the return trip, they txtd when they were at hotel - no walking and waiting at a bus stop. I'd never use anything else. It's around $200 round trip, tip included.

Thank you

I do like a rental car. Sadly I couldn't get a decent price, especially once I threw in $17+ taxes per night for parking at the hotel (and parking at Anabella is TIGHT).

Depends on how many people are going. We usually take the DLR Express (which always stops at GCH first to drop off, and last to pick up so you aren't dealing with the other hotels.) Part of that is because it's usually one or two adults, and one or two kids who ride free. Especially since you can usually check for promo codes that make it $38 return trip per adult. If you're coming in super late or super early, that's one thing. During the day though, it's a fairly painless way to make your way to the resort.

I don't want to start a new topic so I try here. Is the Disneyland Express stopping at every terminal (even international) before leaving for DLR? Or do I have to go to terminal 1.
