Hi, Is there a BUS that will take you to DL Hotels?? Is it complimentary or do I pay for this service?? Thanks, Joan

Hi Joan,

There is no free bus from LAX to DLR. There is the Disneyland Resort Express Bus it is a private bus service. It is operated by Gray Line/Coach America.

From LAX, Disneyland Resort Express is ADULT (USD $16.00)
CHILD (3-11) (USD $12.50), one way.

The other service is Supershuttle. This is the company I always use.

From LAX, Supershuttle shared van service is $16 one way/$32 roundtrip; each additional guest (age 3 and over) is $16. (Eg: 2 people would be $60 roundtrip).

Happy Trip Planning!!

we might do this in stead of waiting 1hour or 2 in la for our bus to transfer.

I agree with this person. It is the cheapest service available. Contrary to what was said we in Los Angeles actually have better services than WDW. I wish people would not dis Disneyland. I have used Supershuttle and had no major problems with them. The larger the group the less strangers on the van.

Strange, when I flew into Orlando a Disney Bus picked me up for free and took me to my hotel. How is paying for a ride better?

For this amount I would seriously look into a private car service. You can get livery car (basically a nice sedan) for probably the same amount or less and they will usually met you at the airport with a sign and you can probably get a better deal for a roundtrip instead of pricing it out one way.

Hi Everyone, THANK YOU for all the replies!! The Shuttle/bus at $32.RT is fine with me. My DD(24) will be flying in from Hawaii and she and I will be meeting at LAX. We can then shuttle over to DL!! Actually DL is where my DD and I fell in LOVE with Disney:lovestruc. My DH had a conference in Anahiem when she was 2 years old (1986) she and I spent the week at DL. And we were HOOKED!! We visited WDW at least once each year until 1993, at that time we bought DVC and our visits became at least twice a year!! Last year I visited in Feb. May,July and October!! We did not get back to DL until 2005.(with my DH, and 2 DS) But she really wants to check out the Food and Wine festival at DL. (Her degree is in Food Services with a speciality in Wine.) We have been to the F&W at WDW and enjoyed it. So if any of you Californians have some tips for F&W in DL, PLEASE speak up!! Thanks, Joan

Just to agree with everybody else - I used the greyhound bus last year and found it a very easy way to get between the airports and the parks. I liked the fact that I could book it in advance and print the vouchers off at home - as a UK based traveller, this is a nice convenience as I'm not too familiar with the area / costs etc so far prefer to book as much as I can in advance.

I had a couple of questions to ask them and so I emailed them - they were very quick to respond to my questions.

I did something a little different to most people - I had a single from Santa John Wayne to DL, then another single to LAX. It was very easy to find the bus at John Wayne and dropped me off almost right next to my hotel (the anaheim camelot inn and suites). The pick up point on the way back was equally close and convenient.

I can safely say that I'll be booking this again when I return in December :thumbsup2

For 4 of us, we've always taken Xpress Shuttle (private service, no one else in the van but us) and have been pleased with their service (3 trips, return transport.) The cost isn't that much for a family of 4. I am wondering though, how long does it take to go to the Hojo using the Disneyland Express bus? For 4 of us, it probably doesn't pan out price wise, but I am curious, I do like that the bus has a washroom on it. I also like that the bus leaves every half hour. We have found though, that with Xpress Shuttle, you just call when you get there (a toll free number) they arrive within about 10 minutes. They have also been on time to pick us up, and they always ensure we get to the airport to go back to Canada with enough time to pass through customs, etc. and to make sure we catch our flight.

Keep in mind that depending on which hotel you are staying in, the DL Express does not drop off at many of them. Instead, they have "bus stops" that they drop off and pick up at. So, you'll have to roll your luggage down the sidewalk to the bus stop, perhaps a few doors down from your hotel.

Now, if you're staying onsite, you're fine -- DL Express will stop at those three, but for the "good neighbor" hotels, it doesn't stop at each one. For this reason alone, I booked SuperShuttle. It dropped me off and picked me up right at the door of my hotel on Harbor.

I've used both DL Express and SuperShuttle, I prefer the DL Express. The bus is more comfortable than the shuttle vans and it felt safer. Some of those shuttle drivers can be crazy drivers (I've used SuperShuttle many times when traveling from LAX to Glendale on a business trip). I stayed at Paradise Pier so it was the second stop. I don't know about DL trips but when I've used SuperShuttle to Glendale they stopped at people's homes sometimes.
