LAX to Disneyland

In February, we will be making our first trip to Disneyland (after numerous trips to WDW). We will not have a car and are flying into LAX (because we are leaving from LAX 3 days afterward to continue on to Hawaii!!)

When we go to WDW, we often use Tiffany Towncars for transportation, instead of Mears. Does anyone know of a similar service that I can reserve to get us to Disneyland from LAX and back again? Need a reliable company because we really need to get back to the airport on time on Monday for our flight out.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. (Prefer to go on someone's actual experience than just finding a company on-line.)

Thanks,

Well if you need the most reliable then look into renting a car but if you want a good company Super Suttle is good. I know its not a towncar or anything but the most it would have is about 6-7 people tops and they are really reliable.
We are trying something new this Dec called Airport Bus, its less money and I see them everywhere when I am in Disneyland.

I only use Super Shuttle when going to DLR from LAX. This summer, cost for two before tip was $28 -- so figure $14 per person. You don't need reservations for Super Shuttle. Just walk out to the island outside baggage claim. To return to LAX, get a card from your driver and telephone Super Shuttle from your hotel at least one day in advance to make return reservations.
On the other hand, if you have a large family, a taxi MIGHT be cheaper. It's quite a distance from LAX to DLR so price this option out first before getting into the taxi.

Don't some hotels offer a shuttle? I actually needed to know this info for November. This is the first time I'm flying to LA instead of driving, but I thought I saw once that the DL Hotel offers a shuttle. Does anyone know if this is true?

We've used SuperShuttle and AirportBus. The only problem with SuperShuttle is that they reserve the right to make 3 other stops per trip, so if you are in the van with a few other people, you might make stops all over Orange County before winding up at DL... one late night (after a VERY delayed flight that got in at 10 pm - should have gotten in at 3 pm), we were stuck in a van with people going to Anaheim Hills, and somewhere else starting with the letter F, and we got lost getting back out to the main street from that person's house, and it was just too long a night!

AirportBus is pretty nice. It makes a couple of stops along the way, but they are centralized.

As for reliability in getting back to the airport, SuperShuttle requires that you leave 2 1/2 hours before your scheduled flight (might be even more now after 9/11). Not sure but I think AirportBus is similar. In both cases, we always got to the airport with plenty of time to spare.

Just got back last night, and once again used Airport Bus rather than SuperShuttle. At 9pm I was the ONLY passenger, which was great. Why do I try to avoid SuperShuttle? I have taken rides thru many many areas of LA on those 'three stops' and it's not worth the worry to me (getting stuck in LA traffic)

Airport Bus always seems to make it on time, and for $25 round trip still a great deal.......
