Day 10 – Last Day at the Dolphin! Downtown Disney and Epcot!

We got up a bit earlier this morning and got ready to go to Downtown Disney. We were having out complimentary breakfast this morning, at the Garden Grove restaurant. The breakfast itself was nice, it was a buffet and they cooked eggs/omelets to order. It was completely empty though, and im not surprised I was pretty expensive for what the choices were, but it was free so who am I to complain! I think there were only about another 3 tables in the restaurant!

After breakfast we went to the front of the Swan hotel to catch a bus to Downtown Disney – it had started raining whilst we were at breakfast and there were puddles everywhere, the bus was just pulling into the bus stop as we got around the corner so we had to run, dodging all the convention people but we made the bus! When we got to Downtown Disney we got off at the Pleasure Island stop and walked down to the Virgin Store to purchase an ipod charger. As it was still raining we went into Disney Quest for a while, DH had a play on some of the games and I sat down with a nice cake and watched the people playing the Buzz Lightyear thing. We had a go on the Pirates of the Caribbean game which was good fun – although we were not very good at it! Im guessing we needed more people than just 2!! We also designed our own rollercoaster and went on that – I must have gotten a bit over enthusiastic with the loops as it made DH feel quite ill!

The rest of the morning was quite a washout really as it was raining until about 2pm! So we decided to head over to the Yacht Club and have some lunch and a few drinks at Hurricane Hannas! By this point it had stopped raining and the sun had come out! So we sat around the pool for a while eating our lunch and drink mango daiquiris! We decided to head back to the hotel room at about 3:30 so that we could do most of the packing and get ready for the evening. We had reservations at Le Cellier this evening, and I was looking forward to that Cheese soup!

I had a shower and got ready for the evening, then I did most of the packing whilst DH was getting ready. We met the others down in the lobby at 6pm, our reservation was at 7pm so we had plenty of time. Me, DH and My dad decided to walk to Epcot, but the others waited for the boat, we said we would meet them by the entrance to Le Cellier. We started to walk, and had a look to see if we could see their boat coming along, but it wasn’t even in sight yet. We took our time and sat down by the Beach Club for a while, we could see their boat had picked them up but it has to stop at the Yacht and Beach Club and then the Boardwalk before going to Epcot, we Headed off to Le Cellier so that we could atleast check in on time.

We checked in and took a seat waiting for the others. About 15 minutes later my Grandparents turned up but without my Mum – she had left her pass in the hotel room and had to run back and get it! We spoke to the guy on the podium at Le Cellier who was really helpful and said to just give him a shout when everyone was here. My dad headed off to meet my mum half way back from the hotel. 20 minutes later they both got back. We told the guy that everyone was here and they managed to seat us in about 5 minutes which was great!!

I love Le Cellier, id only eaten there once before but the food was excellent last time! My grandparents both had the beef broth, and the rest of us had the Canadian Cheddar Cheese soup which was delicious! The pretzel bread was lovely too! I had the Filet that comes with truffles and risotto, and DH had the strip steak. All the food was cooked perfectly, the service was prompt and friendly too! All in all it was a great meal!

After Dinner we had a wander around the world showcase and headed over to France for a glass of wine to enjoy Illuminations with! We watched Illuminations from the Bridge between France and the UK. After the last firework had gone off we decided to walk back to the hotel. I finished off the packing, paid up the room bill and sat on the Balcony enjoying a glass of wine and thinking about the surprises I had in store for the next day!

what a lovely day :) shame about the weather though...what date are we on now ?

Have only been to Le Celier once and just have to go back. your meal sounded delicious
