help! im a laundry fanatic! i do laundry every other day. when i get home from a vacation i always need to do the laundry right away, otherwise it kills me! this time we are going to disney for 6 days and coming home on a wednesday night really late, and i have to be in work the next morning. i probably wont even have time to unpack when we get home, let alone throw on laundry. any suggestions for me??? (i wont do it at the hotel) :confused3

Before you leave have a few outfits ready for everyone so you have clothes to wear to work and school. Then do the laundry over the next few days that you are home.

This way you don't have to stress out.

I am a laundry fanatic, also!! I have actually scheduled a day during the vacation to wash clothes. My husband thinks I'm crazy, but I'm actually really excited!! :cheer2: Go ahead and seperate the clothes (lights, darks, etc.) that you wear during vacation into bags and that way all you need to do when you get home is dump the bag into the washing machine. Seperating the clothes is half of the work!!

thank u both for great ideas! im going to make sure that i have a few outfits at home ready for a few days after the trip, and im going to separate the lights, darks, etc while im there! that is such a GREAT idea! that way i may be able to get a load done the night i come home! :earboy2:

Mickey Mouse suggests that you throw away all your clothes as they get dirty and have your hubby or significant other buy you new clothes at downtown disney shops, problem solved no laundry to do.

Well pack up your stuff and come move into my house because I would rather scrub a toilet than do laundry..I HATE IT HATE IT HATE IT!!!!

I too plan to do mine down there only because I have 2 small DD's and they are so messy and I would hate for them to ruin clothes by letting those stains set in for 8 days.

I always do laundry when on vaca! I bring detergent with me, the kind that are 2 tablets in a pack, stain stick, bleach pen & fabric softner sheets... usually one night when we are at the pool I drag everone's laundry down and do it ( My parents and my family of 5) This year when we arrive on the 26th we will have been 4 days into our vac already ( DD is performing at Busch Gardens Virginia with her Dance Studio and then we're off the Disney) So I'm going to have to do it on Sunday when we arrive, but that's ok, we're getting in early evening so the kids were just going to swim that night anyway. I always bring 2 mesh collapseable (sp) laundry hampers, that way the clothes don't smell

What a great idea - thanks for sharing. For some reason - I enjoy doing laundry on vacation - it makes no sense why; but I just do...go figure.
