Laundry tablets, where can find them now?

I'm thinking of our upcoming June trip and realized I ran out of those great tablets awhile ago. None of the stores around me carry them. Any ideas where they are now? I don't care if they're Tide, Purex, anything will do.

I don't think they make those anymore. Target does have some Tide liquid in 4 load bottles in their travel section. Hope that helps.

We got some of those. We used them when the power went out here and we were staying at a hotel. They are the perfect size. You can refill them too..

The last time I got them, I found them at a large local chain pharmacy here, Happy Harry's. I know it is local to Delaware and Maryland though. So try some off the wall places like that.

Before I found them, I used to pack sandwich size ziplock bags with pre-measured powdered detergent.

purex is no longer making them i believe. i last bought them from their web site but they no longer offer them.

if you don't mind stockpiling some for future use, there are some on-line companies that sell the same one load boxes of brand names that sell in the machines in laundry mats (i think they run about 35 cents a pc. with a minimum order of 100 boxes) you would have plenty for many trips to come and it sure beats paying a dollar or more from the machines.

I don't think they make them any more.........and I am thankful that I bought 5 boxes of the Tide tablets at a Big Lots Store about a year ago and just use them for traveling etc. But in a pinch the snack size zip locs hold enough for 1 load.

I couldn't find them ANYWHERE for our trip last month. I ended up buying a very small bottle of Tide that could pack easily - and then never used it. I will keep it and the baggie of dryer sheets packed for our next trip.

This is what I used for our last trip as I was unable to find the tablets. It worked just fine. I saved by bottle and will use it again on my next trip.

We also use the Target travel size Tide. I loved those Wisk tablets! I wonder why everyone stopped making them. I even make sure I check the grocery stores at WDW and when we were in Hilton Head just to see if in vacation areas they sell them.

I miss the tablets too!

Another alternative would be the new All Small and Mighty - it's in liquid detergent concentrated so that a small bottle has as many uses as a bigger bottle. It's what I use all the time at home now (costs the same per use, and that light little bottle is a lot easier to lift off the high laundry shelf), and it's hardly any bigger than the Tide travel size bottles.

Another vote for the snack sized plastic ziplock bags filled with powder laundry detergent. We used those long before we discovered the tablets and now that it seems that the tablets are gone, we'll probably go back to that method.

We did the ziploc bag trick a couple of years ago. It makes your clothes smell extra good. It looks, however, positively criminal if you are ever pulled over on I-95 and searched...lol!

For vacations -

When Tide, Gain, whoever is giving away free samples, I always send for them, stick them up in a closet, then pull them out on vacation. Perfect "one time use" size and easy to pack. I probably have about 10 samples in my closet presently, will be taking one with us when we leave Sunday - they're mostly liquids, though.
