Hello, this question is about the Laundry Service, not the do it yourself laundry.

I've read in the Passporter and on this board that you can send your clothes out to be washed and pressed while on board, or just pressed.

How much is it? Does it go by the pound?

Also, how much is it to just send something out to be pressed?

If I want to wear a certain dress for dinner, should I send it out a day before I want to wear it, or that morning?

I would appreciate details when it comes to this.
I don't want to pack eight outfits plus four dresses for each of my two girls and also myself!

Thank you!!!!!:earsgirl:

Can't answer you question because I was about to pose one myself...

I'm packing for THIS Saturday (July 24th) and remembered I needed to pack quarters for self serve laundry. My question is:
1. How much are the washer/dryers?
2. How well do they work? Do you need to run your clothes through the dryer 3 times to get them reasonably dry?
3. Is it worth just sending out your laundry? I really would rather not spend my vacation doing laundry!

Thanks for any FAST help! I need to be packed by Friday morning cuz I'm outta here by Friday afternoon! :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

TIA!
Diane

We are also heading out for our second cruise trip July 24th. I did the self-serve laundry thing last time. The washers and dryers work well. My clothes were dry the first time through. There is also a small ironing board and iron in the laundry room that you can touch up your clothes. That was enough for the dresses I brought. But you need to plan ahead. The laundry rooms seem to be quiet packed by late afternoon, early evening. Then people get cranky and take clothes out of the dryer as soon as it stops to get their clothes in. So make sure you come back early to gather up your dry clothes. I found it almost deserted in the early mornings. There are coin changers, as well as detergant to purchase etc. Its just a very miniture version of a laundromat. Hope that helps.

Corryn,

Thanks for the fast reply!! :D Do you remember how much the washer/dryers cost?? Trying to make sure I take enough quarters!

Already got it planned! Look for 8 adults, sans children acting like children! :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: That would be us! :teeth:  :teeth:

Yes, I did finally post a reply on the cruise meet site. My daughter had alraedy replied to the goofy pool meet. We are also staying at the Hyatt.

Get packed, Vickie

although it is rather pricey...Well worth it , we just came off the Magic July 10-17th. And it was very nice to put it in the plastic bag and mousekeeping picked it up and brought it back to the room. You can have same day service, we used the next day service and all was returned by dinner time.
Hope his helps

Washers and dryers are $1 each cycle per machine. If you don't overpack the dryer it will dry in one cycle.

We have used the pressing and the laundry service and we love it.

When you arrive in your cabin...1st day..just put everything that needs pressing into the laundry bag and hang it on your door.
Fill out the laundry tag...for pressing. Everything will be back the next day all ready to go for the week.

For the laundry..same thing..put it all in the bag, fill out the tag and hang on the door. Everything comes back fresh and clean the next day.

Pressing is 1/2 the price of laundry. You are charged by the piece.
We found it to be a great deal. There is no way I would do laundry on the ship and take away the precious time we have there. It goes so fast anyway, why spend the time in a laundry room.

Enjoy!

Oh Khakismum, you must be part of the Khardy group!

We have already been warned about all of you! (tee hee)!

Hello,
I'm sorry to ask again, but someone took this post and misdirected it.
I appreciate the responses about the mousekeeping taking my laundry and washing/pressing for me and I'm sure it's not cheap.

Can you please give me a number, if you remember it?

I don't want to know anything about the self-serve laundry. That's been asked and answered before and I've read all about it in the Passporter, I just need a price for laundry service...

Thanks!
