I am afraid to pick paint colors out and I need imput! (it is also budget related because I don't want to have to buy more paint to cover up my first bad choice...:confused3 help:))

Just purchased a washer/dryer set in cherry red. I have a tiny laundry room that I need to paint.

What color should I paint it that would go with the w/d? It has to be painted anyway so I might as well choose something.

I live in Ohio- home of the Buckeyes and I love the silvery gray idea!!

I agree with one of the previous posters, a shade of yellow would look really nice. :) Although, the other suggests are great also. Happing Picking!!!!

I would do a khaki color. Of course, if you paint it silvery gray, you could always add a Disney border. :thumbsup2 Our guest room is gray and red. We found a border that is a black & white Mickey comic strip with red edges. It would be perfect for that room!

My first thought was a taupe color. I have a color in my family room that I call' tea with milk'. I think it would look nice with red.

I will be in the same position soon...will be getting a new red washer/dryer set and need to paint the laundry room. I am leaning towards a tiffany blue myself...but the choices given here do sound nice too!

I too was going to suggest a color similar to the "camel" posted above. I just painted one of my boys rooms in the Martha Stewart color "fortune cookie" (got it at Home Depot, used a Behr paint) and the color is lovely and would look amazing with red.
In this pic you can actually see the color w/ my sons red blanket to get an idea.

I'm assuming you have a dedicated laundry room. I'd go with a cream or a tan color. But I'd also think about what else is in the room if you have a white sink I'd nix the cream and go tan or you could even mix up color ala vera bradley or lilly pulitzer But like a fun blue or orange. But it all depends on how much wall space you have. In our laundry room I wanted to keep it cool and water like theme. I did stick with plain white washer/dryer but couldn't justify paying more for something I don't really love doing anyways and lives in its own closed room.

I did white tile with a grey-blue glass accent tile. Three walls are painted white and one is painted the grey-blue color. I then accented with chrome shelving to match the chrome on the washers. This is my color theme I purchased 3 of thesebaskets and pulled the colors out of them. I use them to sort my loads till I have full load and they fit perfect on bottom shelf of the system I used.

So you could pull something off with elements of grey, black, cream etc and just make sure you also accessorize with similar colors.

My first thought was a light silvery blue. Along the lines of Evi's "watery" idea.
