My white shirts all end up with dark stains under the arms, and some of my other lighter colored shirts do as well. Is there a way to fix this, or at least prevent it from happening to future clothing? I don't sweat anymore than the average person, so I figure it has something to do with how I do the laundry! :confused3

I don't know if this will help but I use ZOUT with oxy foaming for everything. I spray it on & then I brush it in with an old brush I had from another cleaning product. But you can use a soft bristle brush & just brush the zout in. I usually give my items another squirt of zout before laundering & let sit for a couple minutes & even grease has come out of everything. Good luck! I'll be curious to see what other answers come thru on this thread!

I had a similar problem over the summer, when I tried a new deoderant ~ it left stains on most of my light colored shirts...try a new deoderant and see if it helps.

The biggest way I know to stop this is wearing t-shirts (the undershirt kind) under your shirts. Those can have stains with no big deal--as no one ever sees them.

Yes, these are from deodorant. Put your deodorant on and let it "dry" before you get dressed, that will help some. If you treat your shirts with a stain remover before you wash, that will help too. My golf shirts get like this in the summer and putting Stain Stick on them helps.

You can use rust remover to get rid of the stains. (Works great in mildewy toilets also!) I haven't bought any in awhile, but I think it's near the laundry stuff. It comes in a copper colored bottle. Put it on the stains for about 10 minutes before you do the laundry.
