Taking the clothes out of the dryer this afternoon, I found a pen that had gone thru the wash. I was extremely lucky - the pen was in with the darks, so the clothes look fine. Nothing in the washing machine, but now the dryer has blue ink stains all over it. What can I use to get the ink stains off? Do I even HAVE to get the ink off? I guess if I don't, it might get on other clothes until it wears away, right? HELP!

The same thing has happened to me twice! I used rubbing alcohol on a paper towel and then washed the drum well with with detergent & water. The second time it happened I was ready with ink remover ( I used It's Out brand). Just remember to wash out the dryer drum afterward as alcohol and ink remover are combustible !

same thing happened to me, son left pen in his jeans...blue everywhere in the dryer drum....tried the alcohol , soft scrub, bleach everything with no luck , wouldn't believe what ended up taking most of it off....plain old pencil eraser...had to run sweeper hose in there afterward but took most of it off better than anything else and didn't have to worry about combustable fumes have done several loads after that with nothing that didn't originally come off coming onto clothes

Thanks for the suggestions! We had some rubbing alcohol, so I used that and it worked. I'm just soooo glad it wasn't a load of whites!
