Laundry Detergent Question

Ok, so I was in a big hurry at the grocery store today and I grabbed the high efficiency detergent instead of regular. I know you can't use regular detergent in a HE washer, but what about using HE detergent in a regular washer? Will it clean just as well? Do I need to use more?

I did the same thing, didn't read the bottle closely enough I guess. I used it in the regular washer, using the regualr amount (a capful) and it was fine. It was Tide by the way, if that makes a difference.

Actually, you CAN use regular detergent in a front loader. The difference with HE is it does not produce as many suds. So, it is safe to use the HE in a regular washer.

I use to use it all the time before I got the front loader! Works just the same for me!
