Laundry detergent in rooms?

We are leaving Thursday for a week at BW with friends. We have a 1 bedroom and I know there is a washer and dryer in the room. Do they provide laundry detergent and dryer sheets or do I need to bring my own? We're checking luggage so it won't be a problem but I would prefer not to.

We LOVE the laundry sheets! Here's a tip...if you are doing small loads in a typical stackable DVC washer then cut your laundry sheets in half length wise. It seems a full sheet is too much for a small vacation load. I cut them in half and put them in a ziplock bag. They lay perfectly in my luggage!

I've seen advertisements for those Purex ones but I've been a bit skeptical about them. Do they really work?

They work well, but there are reports of them getting sucked into the pump system of front load washers. They work great in top load units.

when my hubby was away earlier this year for some military courses he brought the laundry sheets and he said it worked well even on his combats so we'll be using them for our next vacation. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Some people have complained that they leave greasy spots on the clothing.

You'll get a single use box of Tide every day you have service, meaning every fourth day on DVC points. No dryer sheets; you'll have to provide them yourself.

There is..but, not enough. One box of detergent doesn't cut it...at least for our family of 5.

We bring the Purell laundry sheets. They take up next to no room in our luggage, they can't "spill", and they work GREAT. Not to mention...having them with us means we need to bring less clothes, which means I don't throw my back out schlepping the heavy suitcases around the house, before we leave, or around the villa when we arrive. Win/Win!!!

Thanks all. I actually got a free sample of Wisk and Bounce...thanks to the folks on the Budget Board...and I am throwing them in suitcase. Since it is just the two of us I think we will be good because I will probably only wash once and maybe not come home with any laundry.

We never get a replacement box of laundry detergent on T&T day. Not a problem since I have laundry detergent in our Owners Locker but I was never sure if Mousekeeping is supposed to replace it or not.

You can purchase additional boxes of detergent in the laundry room and there are large boxes/jugs of detergent for sale in the resort store.

Really? I was going to use up my left-over supply from our recent trip. However, this would be bad. I guess I'll just save them for the next trip.

Thanks for the tip.

Those sheets are convenient, however, we stopped using them because the got in between the rubber part on our front end washer HE and eventually clogged the drain. My DH had to take apart the washer and found socks and those sheets clogging the washer drain. MESSY!!

OKW store sells detergent if you need it and can't get to a store. I just bring my wisk and bounce along but we do drive normally.
