Laundry Bag Charge

Flash Back February 2014 Disney Dream... Mysterious charge shows up on my charge card for $10 I call and it's for a Laundry Bag... Dispute charge and DCL gives me a credit on my charge... Fast forward... We cruise the Dream again... March 6th 2017.... Leaving stateroom morning of debarkation.... Double check for Laundry Bag, Pillow etc... all there.... Get home... Guess what... charged again for Laundry Bag.... Really?? Had to call again and DCL gives me credit again... We had the same stateroom attendant... I should have checked to see if someone was selling Laundry Bags in Nassau at the Straw Market...

Thanks bbel, PrincessShmoo, and Hundredacre!

I just want to thank you for, OP for letting us know about this, and its resolution. Some people may not have even noticed the extra charge, and many others would have thought that it wasn't worth the hassle to fix it. You have given awareness to both of these groups of people. That's one of the best ways these boards can be used! Thanks!

I hope you didn't tip him extra.

yeah... I did.... I threw a extra $5 bucks in the envelope.... When I called DCL, they realized I was not a happy cruiser... don't get me wrong... my wife and I love Disney... The young lady immediately offered a refund and wrote up a complaint form on our stateroom attendant ... which I did not ask here to do... So maybe... they are listening...

Wow! You might want to book a different room on the your next DCL cruise.

From what I hear from neighboring staterooms... everyone seems to be getting charged for laundry bags... our daughter and her family was in a adjoining stateroom to ours and she also was charged.... and yes, you may be right... LOL...

Imagine if it were the those phones holy moly! I am paranoid about those. I take a picture of them before I leave I heard of people being charged like $200 for missing phones.

I remember our 1st cruise we noticed the price of a missing laundry bag. I thought it was a joke but can understand how people would like to take it home with the DCL logo. It can add up for Disney to replace hundreds of bags every cruise. Now every cruise we check to make sure there is one while unpacking and that it is still there when we leave. Getting hit with a $10 charge would annoy me.

LOL..... that is what we did also.... this was our second cruise and made sure it was there when we arrived and departed... Still got charged though.... that was even more annoying.... I thing next time that my parting words to the attendant will be... We did not take anything so don't charge us for it... LOL

I get your reasoning behind it, but ultimately it would only prove that they were there when you took the picture. Not that you didn't take them.

What does that accomplish?
Exactly! Take a photo then take them I guess would work better. Because. After all. You have a photo it was there. So where is the proof that it wasn't.

Our last cruise we carried one wave phone with us (with the youngest in the club) and day 2 the other phone in the holder goes off while we are in our cabin with a message that a child we did not know was now registered for the kids clubs. Look in my pocket at the other - no message and see that the phone that received the message was for another cabin on deck 7 (we were on deck 2).

Could not find our cabin steward to try and straighten out so just reported to CS. It took 2 days to correct and we had only 1 wave phone during that time but the 2nd correct wave phone for our cabin did appear the last day of the cruise. This just made apparent the cabin stewards only check to see if there are 2 wave phones in a cabin and not if they are the correct ones.
