use it if I am a guest in a 'room' for 3 nights even though I am a DVCer and I paid cash?

I'm not saying for sure I will need too...but we are trying to take as little of clothing as we have too. Would they frown upon me doing a load of laundry if I'm not in "villa" part of the Lodge? I just wouldn't want to look like I was overstepping my bounds...ya know...

thanks for all help,
Esmerleda :goodvibes

The washers and dryers in the villas are for the use of the guests staying in the studios at the villas. If you are in the main lodge at WL, you'll need to use the cash washers and dryers located in the lodge. I think it is $2 to wash and $2 to dry a load.

It would be overstepping your bounds. Use of the free washers and dryers in the villas is not a DVC perk. It's a perk for the guests staying in the villas, especially in the studios.

I guess I should have added that we are moving to the villas on the end of our stay. We are just staying our first 3 nights in a room at the Lodge.

If the census is I will be overstepping my bounds...then I will just wait until I'm in a villa....

That's perfect..After three days you may need to do laundry and if you are in a villa then they are all yours!

Thanks Deb for that info..I didn't know there was a difference ( lodge vs villa's) I have only stayed at the villa and not used the laundry facilities yet.

Just wait to do the laundry until you move over to the villas side. It would be too far to walk from the main lodge to the villas hauling laundry.

If I recall correctly, the AKV DVC laundry room requires inserting your room key to access, so I suspect your key would not work unless you are staying in a DVC room.

You're right. I remember that from SSR.
