We're leaving tomorrow and we're staying at POFQ. We have a two month old and will probabl end up needing to do laundry at least once. What are the laundry facilities like at the resorts?

Thanks.

Nice, clean, quiet, and convenient. Take some of those laundry tabs along with you though as the detergent in the machines is expensive!

I know on the Riverside...side... they have really nice buildings by the quiet pools. Big with several machines. FQ - is that the old Port Orleans or the mansion side of Dixie? It's soooooo confusing...

The nice thing about POFQ's laundry room is that it is near the pool. I usually put the laundry on, and then go fill my mug up and sit outside near the pool bar at the tables. My clothes have always been safe there.

I never did laundry on vacation until I had DD (because then it wasn't a vacation:D ) and now I do it every time.

Usually DD and DH go for a nap while I do the laundry, so i sit with a book, relax and catch a few minutes to myself.

One thing is that when you put the money in the washer, it starts automatically. For the dryer, you need to put the money in and then push I button to get it start. I'll admit that I didn't know that the very first time, and wasted the money and time. I learned my lesson quickly, but ran into a woman at the Ploy who had three loads in and didn't know to push the button and had to do it a second time. She had been her from the UK for 2 weeks and had four kids. That's a lot of laundry!

Absolutely, pack those detergent tablets and dryer sheets. That stuff is pretty expensive there! The machines are expensive by themselves. I even have some shout travel packs I take with me too!

My husband is the one who does the laundry in my family (part of the reason why I married him ;) ). We haven't stayed at PO yet, so we don't know what the laundry rooms look like. However, I do have a photo of the laundry room at the AKL, and from what I understand, the resort laundry rooms are similar: click here to view laundry room photo.
