Laundry at CR?

Just read a previous post about how hard it is to use the laundry machines at the Poly. I'm curious about the CR - We're staying 9 nights and know that we'll need to wash some clothes. We always bring Wisk tablets (no messy powder or liquid) and our own dryer sheets.

How many machines are there at the CR? Best time of day to wash? Any tips?

We stayed at the CR in April 2003 and did laundry. I am thinking there were about 8 washers and 8 dryers. I am not for sure since it has been a year. I washed mid way through our trip one afternoon while the kids were swimming with their dad. There was no one else using the machines so it was perfect. I just put in a couple of loads, and went to the pool to wait. Checked back later and put the stuff in the dryer and went back to the pool to wait for them to be done. The only thing I didnt like was dragging all the dirty laundry from the tower room, into the elevator, out the 1st floor doors, around the walkway, into the wing building, up the elevator and down the hall. It would have been nice to have some in the tower, but oh well. I also brought the tablets and sheets and found them very conveinent. I had also bought a collapsable hamper at walmart before we went. It folded up like those crazy rould window shades that you can buy. It had handles on it for carrying. The thing I would do differently for next time would be to buy another. That way we would have one for darks and one for lights. We have a family of 5 and it filled up fast with just one. Have a great time!! One more thing, they did have a tv in the laundry room, but I didnt want to spend too much time in there when I could go relax by the pool! Blessedby3

No laundry in the tower.

Both the North & South wings have laundry.

I did a load in the north during our stay, in the evening. It was quite crowded.

Also, the laundry in the north is on the 3rd (I think) floor, so it's not at all convienent to the pool.
